The Loot chest for Kaliks-12 was on the side of the little building in the middle of Skywatch, right next to where I fought the Wolves.

Holy crap at that changelist. Fan-fucking-tastic stuff. Love the crucible mark/rep changes. Love the Cryptarch stuff, love the network bug fixing (what!) they're trying out in Trials.

My download has hit a rut at about 6.2 gigs. Downloaded the first six in about 5 minutes at most, and now I'm at 10 hours left. PS4. Have to work in 1 hour. I'm so bummed.

You try pausing it for a minute then starting it again? That usually works when my downloads slow down on PS4 like that

Mad Max was glorious. Tom Hardy was wasted though.

Went straight from work to movie to dinner and drinks in the casino, missed the last couple of pages..

Patch is live I presume? Patch notes look good, a little too late imo.

What else is new? Xur didn't have Suros as predicted nor Icebreaker.

Wait, Petra is in the tower? Is the reef open as well? New bounties? Treasure chests? Someone fill me in please.

Also I may be up for some drunk stuff in an hour. Any takers?

I'm gonna go watch Mad Max cause fuck this. Don't know why it didn't just resume at 6.xxxGBs and it instead forcing me to redownload the previous 6.xxGBs plus the new patch.

Is there a requirement to get the bounties on the Queen's Wrath npc? I visit her and see her emblems/shaders but no bounties I can pick up. I see the icon over her head like she has a quest for me, but nothing I can grab.

Yes and no.

There is currently way to high of a supply and too little of a demand for shards. So Bungie is trying to find ways to encourage us to use them, plus reduce the amount we bring in.

Shards and Energy will still be needed to upgrade items, but hopefully you wont have a stack of a couple hundred just sitting in your vault for no reason any more.

So while etheric light is obviously not available yet, can we upgrade our exotics as soon as we installed the patch? Or is that not until next week too?

Also, have the mat upgrade costs been reduced yet?

If anyone has the patch yet lol...

No, we can't yet.

Also, they won't get reduced, the next weapons and ammo will just require smaller amounts to upgrade. If you're hanging on to something in the hope that it'll require less mats, you're probably going to be disappointed.

Also, couldn't find the loot chest on Venus.

I found the loot chest after killing Peekis on the Citadel by the 3 hobgoblin spawn. I'm not sure if the chest location is randomized.

Dear GAF,

I have recently come back to Destiny and really enjoying my time. I am a hair short of 27. Trying to figure out what the best way is to get my levels up. Raiding seems a great way, but I dont know anyone who plays. What's the best way to get in any kind of raid on GAF?

Ok, I kill all 3 targets. They're pushovers if you use scorch cannons and shotguns, the secret loot is kinda disappointing, I was expecting engrams or something but noooooo it's just mats and glimmer.

Scorch cannon is fucking awesome.

So I was able to pick up three queens bounties. Unfortunately I'm on my lunch break, so I can't test them out. Are we able to run these bounties and get queens rep now?!

Yeah, the bounties send you to specific locations. After a while, a ship carrying Scorch Captains will spawn. Kill those, grab their scorch cannons and the Wolves will get Frenzied, sending in wave after wave of enemies until the 'boss' appears. Kill him/her and you get an effect called 'Ether Key', which allows you to open up a fallen treasure lying nearby. You just need to find it. :)

These guys are tough, too. Boss is level 30.

About to try the sky watch one.

For the one on forgotten shore it was about 10 minutes between one ending and the next starting.

Ah okay, figured about the weapons. So new legendary weapons and armor from vendor won't require ass shards/energy right? What about exotics? They will still have the same costs? I am indeed waiting on buying the upgrades on a couple of them.
