People need to stop bitching about that fight so much. I don't know how many people here even bothered to learn the fight or check it out prior to just Gjallarhorn scumming. I'm sure there are plenty of people and there are a few perfectly valid complaints: namely, the number of adds.
But the fight is perfectly doable without falling back on a broken weapon to skip the entire encounter. Learn the fight. Win the fight. Live. I'm not saying it's easy, I'm saying it shouldn't be and people should put in the time to get good and get down good strategies when they can't Gjallarhorn their way out of a corner. Drizzay, Unstable and I used the Gjallarhorn during solar week to break past the first phase and we learned the fucking hell out of the rest. It took a while but it was damn satisfying.
I think the only truly unforgivable thing is that there is no checkpoint before Skolas. It's stupid to put in a raid encounter that takes hours to learn at the end of an hour or so combat slog that almost locks you in. Make it accessible to only people that have gotten that far that particular week, sharing the checkpoint is a reasonable downside to avoid but I don't see why they can't take the time to implement checks to keep that sort of circumventing out.

Bungie wants to give us the worst stats so that some of us keep grinding for better stats later IMO. So cheap.

So I noticed nightfall had brawler modifier this week, I wonder if it would be possible to have the modifiers that give extra damage to primaries/special weapons at some point too.
Honestly, even without the burn, todays NF was pretty easy, we got 2 done this morning fairly quickly.

So according to that
Max Int = 29% reduction in cool down speed
Max Dis= 55% reduction in cool down speed
Max Str= 55% reduction in cool down speed
So you get the largest reductions with STR and dis anyway.

Really struggling at this 34 boss. Seems worse than Skolas
OMG!! I GOT HAWKMOON!!!
GAAAAAHHHH!
Oh it's definitely doable. It's just a pain when the adds keep on spawning constantly, and about 3/4ths of the adds do arc damage. Last week, getting hit by a shank or Vandal wasn't so bad. This week? Enjoy the wipe~
It's a cheap encounter. It's badly designed. Having fallen that constantly spawn not based on the bosses health is well..a cheap way to make the fight harder.. Your reply is extremely condescending to those who don't want to bang their heads against a wall, saying 'Just do it right! Just do this or that!'. We can easily say, 'Bungie stop making cheap fights!' No need to be a dick about it.
I don't think it'll be a grind. With level 35 dropping another Armor core and most of us at 34 soon or already, I'm guessing Cores will start piling up quick next month.Bungie wants to give us the worst stats so that some of us keep grinding for better stats later IMO. So cheap.

It felt that way if you were a 33 last week in the 34 arena because of the level disadvantage. We'll get those at some point I'm sure. In my experience it's not so much primary/special weapons are buffed, but more like other weapons not mentioned are nerfed. Nice way of Bungle to turn the Ballarhorn in a peashooter.
Sorry I was inactive during the Walker. I just had to type up that response.Three exotic shards from the Nightfalls yaaaay
Thanks for the runs guys
I for one welcome the challenge of different weekly modifiers on Skolas. Just hope they're not burns every single week.
.
I agree, checkpoints need to be implemented here.
And this is why I'm perfectly fine skipping half the content so far in this dlc. I don't play games to head bang for a tiny amount of progress. And even that progress seems inconsequential if I keep getting shit like NLB everytime I open the chest and requires more farming to just get a chance at opening the damn thing.
I think I've played this game long enough...
