If anyone needs a third for 32 PoE I'll be glad to help. I've never gone against Urroxx though. I'm a level 33 titan.

Oh wow... someone already did it? It's arc burn this week?

Hmmmm......

People need to stop bitching about that fight so much. I don't know how many people here even bothered to learn the fight or check it out prior to just Gjallarhorn scumming. I'm sure there are plenty of people and there are a few perfectly valid complaints: namely, the number of adds.

But the fight is perfectly doable without falling back on a broken weapon to skip the entire encounter. Learn the fight. Win the fight. Live. I'm not saying it's easy, I'm saying it shouldn't be and people should put in the time to get good and get down good strategies when they can't Gjallarhorn their way out of a corner. Drizzay, Unstable and I used the Gjallarhorn during solar week to break past the first phase and we learned the fucking hell out of the rest. It took a while but it was damn satisfying.

I think the only truly unforgivable thing is that there is no checkpoint before Skolas. It's stupid to put in a raid encounter that takes hours to learn at the end of an hour or so combat slog that almost locks you in. Make it accessible to only people that have gotten that far that particular week, sharing the checkpoint is a reasonable downside to avoid but I don't see why they can't take the time to implement checks to keep that sort of circumventing out.

I remember you guys posting that it took something like 4 hours to get through haha, I've read about the mechanics of the entire fight on reddit, and it seems absolutely crazy. Totally doable, with some good coordination and planning... there's no doubt about that.

I feel it's eventually going to be like when hard templar was no longer able to be cheesed and a lot of people struggled to get it done legit.

I know it's doable, and strategies will improve over time. I usually don't care about cheesing fights, I know how do to everything completely legit anyway. It's whatever my group wants to do, or if they are pressed for time :)

.

I agree, checkpoints need to be implemented here.

Oh it's definitely doable. It's just a pain when the adds keep on spawning constantly, and about 3/4ths of the adds do arc damage. Last week, getting hit by a shank or Vandal wasn't so bad. This week? Enjoy the wipe~

It's a cheap encounter. It's badly designed. Having fallen that constantly spawn not based on the bosses health is well..a cheap way to make the fight harder.. Your reply is extremely condescending to those who don't want to bang their heads against a wall, saying 'Just do it right! Just do this or that!'. We can easily say, 'Bungie stop making cheap fights!' No need to be a dick about it.

I for one welcome the challenge of different weekly modifiers on Skolas. Just hope they're not burns every single week.

I'd be up for learning the fight if I could get a checkpoint. I fought him the first time for 2 hours with nothing to show for it. The second we gjallerhorned him to death. So long as there is no checkpoint for the encounter I will continue to look for the quickest way to beat him.

Lol, easy to say this when you have Unstable on your team.

So I noticed nightfall had brawler modifier this week, I wonder if it would be possible to have the modifiers that give extra damage to primaries/special weapons at some point too.

Honestly, even without the burn, todays NF was pretty easy, we got 2 done this morning fairly quickly.

It definitely will be possible, as the weekly strike last week had small arms(And has specialist this week?)

We'll get those at some point I'm sure. In my experience it's not so much primary/special weapons are buffed, but more like other weapons not mentioned are nerfed. Nice way of Bungle to turn the Ballarhorn in a peashooter.

So according to that

Max Int = 29% reduction in cool down speed
Max Dis= 55% reduction in cool down speed
Max Str= 55% reduction in cool down speed

So you get the largest reductions with STR and dis anyway.

So... good guy Bungie then? :p

Really struggling at this 34 boss. Seems worse than Skolas

There was a strat I posted on the previous page, not sure if you've seen it.

And this is why I'm perfectly fine skipping half the content so far in this dlc. I don't play games to head bang for a tiny amount of progress. And even that progress seems inconsequential if I keep getting shit like NLB everytime I open the chest and requires more farming to just get a chance at opening the damn thing.

I think I've played this game long enough...

Bungie wants to give us the worst stats so that some of us keep grinding for better stats later IMO. So cheap.
I don't think it'll be a grind. With level 35 dropping another Armor core and most of us at 34 soon or already, I'm guessing Cores will start piling up quick next month.

If there's ever a decent roll on PoE armor we'll probably have the scores Vaulted by then. I'm thinking they'll eventually sell each armor piece four times. People who do this every week would be able to own PoE gear with bonus perks against each kind of enemy (Gaubtlets with Fallen perk, Hive, Vex, Cabal).

They'll probably swap out the stat rolls as well as these perks. It'll be rather meaningless though in the grander scheme since those bonuses only work in the Arena and not against that enemy type elsewhere.

I'm far more interested in ToO random rolls. That Heavy Weapon Loader + Hand Cannon speed reload on the dropped Gauntlets is an RNG carrot definitely worth chasing.

Bitching? Really? When the first week is solar and the boss got a freaking SOLAR CANNON that can quickly take you down to 15% of health in one shot + ads out the wazoo of course people will be complaining.

But the fight is perfectly doable without falling back on a broken weapon to skip the entire encounter. Learn the fight. Win the fight. Live. Sorry some of us aren't L337 Destiny players or have folks like Unstable on the team . People don't want to spend hours in a thing that has no checkpoints. people will always look for the easiest route. Gjallarhorn was that. It was freaking Solar Burn! Of course people will take advantage of that! It's a legitimate strategy for a freaking Solar Burn Skolas fight. It is not some broken weapon.

This is the only thing I agree with you from this somewhat condescending post.

If Datto doesn't post a Skolas 35 "legit" video today then you know Bungie done screwed it up. Well we already know that... ARC burn with a 30 second revive timer really? And no checkpoints?

It felt that way if you were a 33 last week in the 34 arena because of the level disadvantage.

When fighting the cabal with that modifier, your Primary weapons would do "normal" damage because of the buff while your secondary/heavy would be under the level disadvantage handicap and thus feel nerfed.

I got this modifier in a PoE 28 wave and it was great fun. Special and Heavy were doing their normal damage but my primary was just murdering stuff.

I swear that they must have left TDB exotic weighting the same for HoW. NLB and Dragons Breath at every turn.

How doable it's PoE 34 with a level 33 character?

I used a second armor core so am one etheric light from 34.

I don't want to gimp the group but the only other option seems to be a random drop in NF
