So disappointing seeing everyone roll with the "flawless emblem" knowing they might have cheated getting it

I got the shitty fusion rifle 3 times in a row on Wednesday. Horrible feeling after farming for HOURS for keys.Re: Keys
The way I see it, only use key if:
1. First time opening chest with said character
2. First time finishing Lv35 PoE ever (getting the shader/ship on alts is bugged after getting it one time)
3. Need Queen Cipher for exotic bounty
Otherwise don't use a key, unless you like the shitty Queen weapons. Althoughu, in a way the Queen weapons are better than the PoE weapons because they don't waste a perk slot.
Finally I can grab the Crest of Alpha Lupi on my Titan, nice stat roll too. It was the only Titan exotic I was mission from vanilla Destiny.
Now just to decide between that for Trials of Osiris or Armamentarium.
Quicker revives vs. dual Lightning Grenades?
No, 34 and 35 boss kill only. The chest for the second part of the bounty can be opened up at 32, 34 or 35.
Finishing Skolas seems anti-climatic after the stupid 12 hour Crota run I was a part of, and the fact that it - like everything else - comes down to DPS is kind of disappointing.
I would love it if they just had a no-burn thing, so you had to play it legit in a manner that would at least make you use the mechanics while not feeling cheap because everything can potentially one shot you.
I'm still curious to know if people at Bungie playtest these encounters with modifiers. Like, do they want people to just sit in a corner and snipe Skolas to death, killing him before the mines even come up? Is that how the encounter is internally solved and how they expect people to do it? Because it just doesn't seem right.

Has Xu not arrived yet?

Sure having two grenades is always nice but being able to revive your team mates quicker + getting a temporary shield boost is really handy.
Thanks for your concern. I'm about 90% back to normal. Still a little hoarse. Are you still talking like a robot? I hope your throat has recovered..

Both games I had more normal kills than you but you killed it with that Trials MG!Go to play daily crucible, kill a few guys and see a name that looks familiar... "Mac"...what, can't be...
Macello!
I kill Macello, I win game. Macello teabags me, I'm ok with this.
I take that emblem with a grain of salt. Most of the people I've ran into using it have been complete garbage. Granted I've ran into a couple of good players using it, however most I've faced or played with have been underwhelming.
Yes, but 3 days?
Mine showed up after 2 days.

What's the word on Nothing Manacles? I'll buy them for collector purposes if nothing else, but haven't heard much buzz about them so far.

You can't quit either. lolhttp://i.imgur.com/cW689QX.gif I bet you would enjoy Destiny Land
I agree, Skolas is just no fun, LVL 34 this week is fun and there you dont need to hide in a corner or just rely on DPS to be successful.
I've wondered the same thing and don't think they do. I'm still sore from Skolas last weekend. This week I've only done 2 NF, nothing else because that fight took most of my desire to play Destiny. This weekend I want to do PoE 32 and 34 twice, but I'm not sure if I'll even attempt 35.
I don't have endless hours in my life to spend trying to overcome artificial difficulty like hundreds of one-shot capable mobs and permanent level disadvantage. I like a challenge, but something doable. I play games to have fun and take a break from work and RL, not to pile on frustration and aggravation.
Guessing you didn't watch 8man yet? Or can I?!You can't quit either. lol
I jokingly suggested that Skolas have a Nightfall modifier next week. At least it would drastically change the way people approach the encounter. As it is, there's no incentive to let it play out as you would.
As for the 34 boss, the times I did it, we just Horned him to death in the first minute. Although there's a part of me that would like to see the gimmicks in the fight, the fact that "use Horn" is a solution to nearly every encounter in the game kind of defeats the purpose. Although they will probably never nerf the Horn, the Small Arms/Specialist modifiers at least makes using Horns somewhat less viable. That seems to be the only way to insert a challenge to most of the encounters now, since everything is based on DPS still.
I'll do it at 8. I have a hard bridge check for what it's worth.Anybody here want to do HM Scrota? A buddy wants to carry his 30 Warlock alt for gear, I can solo Abyss and probably cheese bridge, but we can do stuff legit if there's enough folks. Or if anyone has Scrota CP we can just bust that out...

I have a 30, maybe 31 hunter that would run. Is that too low? How soon will we run.
It's strange, because the only way they seem to be able to make the game "hard" is to artificially limit the damage you can output and increase the damage enemies do to you, but because of the burns from the first two weeks, the solution has simply been "DPS".I've wondered the same thing and don't think they do. That's the other thing. Because, for some dumb reason, I have three characters, I'm incentivized to get through as much of the content as I can as quickly as possible. It'd be nice to play the game "as intended", but when a potential solution is "use Horn to nuke boss", it's hard not to do that.Yeah we decided not to use Gjallarhorns on him for the fun of just beating it the "legit" way. It was very rewarding once you got your tactic down and it worked out.
Is your identity being challenged as well?!Guessing you didn't watch 8man yet? Or can I?!
I wonder what they think when they see people shoot Skolas with LDRs in a corner and kill him that way.I've been saying this for a long time, I doubt Bungie ever playtests their hard mode designs. They cannot possibly think that holing up in a corner against tons of enemies that can kill you in one or two shot is good way to make an encounter hard.
They sort of tried that with the Urn quest at least.I hope bungie surprises us with Xur one day. He could bring a weapon we never seen in any sort of data mining before. To acquire the weapon from him you would need to complete PoE on 32-35 before he leaves or something. Just dont let us have to pay strange coins for it. Make us do something really hard to get it.
Stuff like that would be awesome and make Xur arrival exciting again.
We can do it at 8, in 30 minutes. Lv30 would be fine although it'll mainly be a carry. As long as we have a couple Lv33+ folks it'll be easy

He has already sold every single weapon at least once. The only exceptions are:
PS exclusives (Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo, 4th Horseman);
and bounty weapons (Thorn, Invective, Bad Juju, Super Good Advice, Lord of Wolves, Dreg's Promise, Queensbow)
Not sure which weapon you would've found not to be disappointing. In terms of armor, he's selling a top-tier Hunter helm, a great Titan chest (only sold twice before) and a HoW Warlock piece.
What were you expecting? Launch day players like us should have everything he can possibly sell by now except the new armor or possibly Gjallarhorn since it hasn't been sold again since we figured out it was good.
I can give you guys the scrota checkpoint if you want.
