I was trying out a new hand cannon so I didn't immediately realize that it was doing less damage than it should have been doing... I was sad to hear that Specialist doesn't just put a buff on special weapons but it puts a de-buff on primaries and heavies..

There's going to be a duplication of the list. The end goal is to help GAF reach Mercury. The GAF ToO list keeps track of those that have not made it to Mercury. Come next week, those still on the list will get priority.
To add to people advising you to go for it, I would add that it's now easier to get coins.
You can probably complete a few PoE 28 and get your missing coin quite quickly...

I was fortunate to get to 9-2 late last week but even then I think I got two (?) Etheric Light from that? That's still not a lot. I have a lot of weapons and armor.

You guys actually have quite a good system going on.
If this keeps evolving by adding more great players in the mix, there won't be a single gaffer that has never been to mercury.
I've been lucky, 1/6 on NFs for etheric. Did all 34 PoE's last week, one this week and got 4 through ToO last week. So I've had 9 etheric light. Used most of it on gear to get to 34 that then got replaced by PoE or ToO gear, but w/e. Have two in reserve for a rainy day where I may need to ascend something in a hurry (like an Arc LDR).
OK. I hope I haven't made things confusing for signing up twice.

Yeah, I know. I just meant how one emblem goes to postmaster, while the other doesn't. Odd glitch.
No, the Mars map on Xbox lol. I highly dislike Pantheon - it just doesn't jive with me.
I have yet to receive any Etheric Light as well. Waiting to reach level 34 before attempting the 34 PoE.
Eventually we'll have more than enough Etheric Light.

I mean, it has its uses outside of PoE, no? Nightfalls, Raids, etc.
Default and level 32 prison are fine by me, but these higher level ones are sloggy and killing me inside with artificial difficulty. The random teleporting bit absolutely fuggin enraged me when I discovered it.
I've also got a truckload of things I wish to ascend and right now Etheric Light is absolutely more difficult to obtain for casual players like myself as opposed to Exotic Shards.
Sorry to bother you again like yesterday but I can't access those google docs at work. Am I on some specific list for a specific day yet, or is that still being determined? For reference, you signed me up yesterday.
Iron Banner is a great source of Etheric Light... the barrier of entry for skill is much lower than Trials, there's matchmaking, you can't lose progress, progress accelerates toward the end of the week as well as (new with this IB) on your characters that are playing catch-up. 5000 glimmer doesn't sound so bad to me considering- especially the Rank 3 one- how straightforward it will be to access.
You're at 15 right now. But depending how many people get through today, you might move up. Have the PS app installed on your phone/tablet to receive notification when your turn is up.
Yep, as much as I don't like PVP, that's my plan to get myself some Etheric Lights.
Not touching PoE 34 until I'm actually 34 / have a few ascended weapons.
Not the most unacceptable compromise considering what occurs if you equip the Mythoclast or UR.
The only content where you need to be higher than 32 is POE 34/35.
NF is 32. It would make Hard Crota's End easier than it already is.
But different strokes for different folks. Good luck in your Etheric Light hunt.

Yep. I'm fine with it too. The game needs less farming/griding, not more.
Besides, Iron Banner is a a totally different beast from ToO.
Doesn't it help in Iron Banner and ToO. I know 4% dmg per level isn't much but for some of the more amateur players like myself I can see that making a difference.
Isn't Etheric Light used to ascend legendary weapons?

Yeah. It has plenty of use outside of just hitting the level cap.
Rumor is two at level 3 and another two at 5.
Edit: Oops maybe I read that wrong and it's 2 total.

forgot to mention that my goal for each day is to carry 10 people to the lighthouse. after that, ill help a few people out with quick wins. if you are near the bottom of my list and only need a few wins, i may not get around to you until later in the weekend
They pretty much confirmed this in the update yesterday. Doesn't explicitly say just one at each rank, but it's hard to imagine they'd let you buy more than that.

Yep. Haven't used a sniper in PvE till Skolas this week ever since the buff hit.
It doesn't change the amount of shots necessary to kill someone in 99.9% of player interactions in IB and ToO. It's a perceived disadvantage that doesn't actually exist.
This is true, but a level 300 FB cleans up well in even PoE 34/35. But extra damage in PVE content is always welcome.

Huh. If I do IB next week, I suppose I'll be close to upgrading... everything. Maybe I should draw it out a bit more, hmm. Not convinced that HoW has enough content to last until Comet or whatever so I shouldn't rush to do everything
It doesn't matter. Even if you also excise ToO and PoE as unimportant, you need Etheric Light to ascend weapons too, which improves damage across all endgame content, and people want to be max level (which you don't theoretically need a single Etheric Light for) in the gear they want to wear regardless.
Everybody wants Etheric Light, "it's not a big deal if you don't do PoE cause you don't need it" isn't a helpful angle.

What planet did ghosts find these guardians on? super mega ultra planet?? I have never had the kind of "easy" experiences some posters here have had. It's kinda mind boggling to me. It's going to take all my mustard just to GET to that rank 3 in time, I bet!
