Lol

Our wafer teams were a hoot though. It was fun hearing Grim bust out laughing

I laugh cause you're crazy. I like you but you're crazy. The groups we had for IB were a lot of fun. That's when I enjoy playing the most. Wins and losses don't even matter that much when you're having as much fun as we did. I've been in some groups that we just super quiet and felt so somber. That's when I question why I'm even playing.
You and the rest of the guys in our nutty groups are always welcome on my fire team.

you should've been on Hawk's drunk IB train last week. that was entertaining.

fuck Reddit, post it here. they don't appreciate the advice anyway.

Yea no kidding. Am already being redirected to this thread on the front page: http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheG...those_of_you_low_on_weapon_parts_heres_a_few/

which I already read before I decided that it wasn't thorough enough. Besides, most of those methods are too slow.

Strikes in particular take 10-30 minutes and will give you less than 15 weapon parts if you're lucky to find weapon engrams.

Yeah this is less to do with anything and a lot more to do with the fact that the Monte Carlo is a complete fucking bullethose of a gun with shite (base) stability. It's a funny name and thats about it.
I know. Never said they were applying a Monte Carlo simulation to destiny, just connecting the dots between the name and the name of the weapon.

Is this your opinion? Can you prove this? Can you read? Do you even play this game? I swear some guys over there are beyond ridiculous.

I like this method but sadly, reaching the requisite wins for weapon purchases in ToO is not something I can reliably pull off. I really hope I get a good ticket this week though, helmet and machine gun is a wonderful reward combo.

I can't help but notice that no one from raid team 1 posted any sort of summary from last night...

I just got caught up on posts (was out of the office until after lunch), and it looks like the group ended up splintered and doing misc stuff?

I take one week off, and everything crumbles! =)

Welp, guess you guys were right. The thread was downvoted because it's a "copy pasta" of another post (it's not) and apparently going through trials of osiris is "not the fastest" way. Or rather, people see the requirement and think it's bad advice.

This is literally the same reason why I quit Destiny last month. I'm not sure why I bother helping the Destiny community.

These are my favorite Grimoire cards and have been for a long time. I've read them and re read them a million times but had never made the link to the potential origin of the Exo - it's a fantastically fitting explanation. The whole concept of simulated reality is extremely interesting from a philosophical point of view. It's been a recurring topic of conversation with some friends and some new angles or repercussions always come up.

It wasn't mentioned in this Reddit post, but is tangentially related: there's an interesting paper on P2P simulation and how it could explain the quantum behavior observed in the natural world. It's a terribly abstract and sadly paywalled article (glad I'm still in grad school and can access these things) but it ties in beautifully with the Vex being a vast P2P network simulating reality. I found a good summary online but a lot of the minutiae is lost on the author:
https://scientiasalon.wordpress.com...d-a-new-theory-of-free-will-a-brief-overview/

Anyways, the Vex as described in game fit the P2P Simulation Hypothesis perfectly. This hive mind working as an array of interconnected terminals computing a unified simulation with the capacity for recursion (their simulated selves would in turn be accurate enough to also create simulations, ad infinitum) is just mind boggling.

Truly wasteful to have such a complex enemy be conceived with this sort of detail only to have them do nothing in game other than shoot you and chuck grenades at you.

Never really read the grimoire cards in detail before . They are so cryptic and its a puzzle to see the bigger picture. But its my favorite Grimoire cards aswell now, hehe.

This is also the first time iv heard the theory of infinit simulations. Really makes you think.

FWIW I appreciated your post.

you can still get 450 weapon parts by going through the gunsmith.

Just play the game for yourself. Don't let stupid Reddit mods get you down.

CruciblePlaybook has a ToO weapon parts thread.

I don't visit the Destiny Reddit community because of stuff like that. They think they know everything. DeeJ loves sucking up to them. DestinyGAF community is the best. I keep playing because of you guys.

If I was going to play solely for myself I wouldn't have come back last month.
Your posts may get lost in the shitfest over there but you're an extremely valuable member of the community.

Your Crucible tips are among the most sound and concise I've seen anyone put out, and you're basically the go-to person to ask about maps. How the work and fail on different maps, callouts, positioning...

Not to mention the ToO help you and your Devil buddies have been pulling. Don't let a few assholes stop you, your contributions are well received by many.

I agree with this, playing and interacting with people is what keeps me coming back to Destiny.

You've helped a lot of people here and in reddit, whether with advice or carries or whatnot, and there are plenty that are grateful for it whether they state it or not.

The ones that got salty bc 7 wins is "ToO hard", well fuck them, you're just trying to help out. I can understand, however, if there's quite a large population that will never get to 7 wins and won't be able to take you up on your advice.

Scrubs outnumber the good players. Source - my anecdotal experience.
