Actually I didn't really enjoy the alpha or beta that I played. Thought it was a little too samey, and quite frankly, boring. Caught the game on sale after Christmas and had a "why not?" feeling. Haven't looked back since. This game has me hook, line and sinker.

my interest in this game was dwindling and bottomed out at apathy on the day of the E3 showing.

and then they said that we could play it that weekend. bought a PS4 that i had planned to return afterwards.

Haven't played the alpha either, I was so excited when they opened up the moon in the beta for 2 hours and we found an Ogre near the Hall of Wisdom :p

Forget the old system, that's irrelevant.

Bungie reduced all upgrade costs to limit the grind and allow players to upgrade weapons/armor more easily. Currently, the ONLY way to get weapon parts currently is by dismantling other weapons. Legendaries (w/ no xp) only give 2-3 parts each. So that's roughly 9-13 LEGENDARY weapons needed to ascend one exotic. That to me that's kinda ridiculous.

I didn't like the Alpha (it through you in without any introduction unlike the Beta), but played a lot of the Beta.

My thoughts exactly. Either give us a way to trade/buy weapon parts, or increase what we get from dismantling.

Never played the Alpha, only the Beta. I wasn't even that interested in the game, but got into the Beta because of the hype. Needless to say, the rest is history.

Does anyone want to do a PoE32 / PoE34 run? I'm a bit behind on getting things done this week. PSN: phantom8324

I asked this before quite a few pages back, but has the Destiny app always said that the Gunsmith sells weapon parts (under the description for weapon parts)?

played the 32 PoE last night and something weird happened.

Heavy ammo box appeared, gift from varkis or whatever.

only it never went away.

ever.

Round ended, it was still there. Refilled my heavy over and over and over and over. never ran out. was there for all rounds 2-5.

So I just played this guy in Rumble. He showed up on the intro screen holding no weapon and through the match, he had no weapon equipped. He would just go invisible, run around, and kill people with the Khepri's sting. He was in the lead for most of the match, actually. How would you do this glitch and what would be the point?

the alpha was magical D:

all of the common cloaks are low level drops. can only get them when you decrypt engrams on low levels.

Happened to me once before. I have no idea how you do that tho.

Who here uses the Bumper Jumper control scheme and how difficult was it to transition from the default scheme?

I am reading how much better it is for PvP.

I just wish I found this community sooner.

Also, my ears would hurt from using the stock ps4 earpiece during the alpha/beta which made me upgrade to the Sony Gold when this officially released. Best decision ever.

I started playing Destiny during September - October of last year, and did it solely because after losing tens of thousands of dollars in the commodity crash, needed something to take things off my mind and not jump off a cliff :p

I tried to switch yesterday, and while it's better for those that are constantly jumping, it didn't work for me as I would accidentally melee too often during those sweaty close encounters by pressing the right stick just a tad too hard.

Press conferences are always the day before the show floor opens.

I hope Sony's PS4 stream is better this year. Last year SUCKED. It was basically just a browser window and didn't even work.

I remember scrambling around to hook up a laptop to the TV and streaming IGN or Gamespot. I miss the days when it was on G4TV :(

I keep getting the urge to make a new Hunter just for the fun of it. What is wrong with me?

The only thing stopping me is having to level up another Warlock or Titan again, which will be boring as sin.

I've been working on transitioning for three days now. I'm almost used to it. I still "panic super" sometimes and don't remember that super is on X. Jump was the quickest to pick up since it's the button you use most often.

I'm used to the melee since I've always used green thumb.

new level characters can be a fresh take on the game if you have someone to help with the higher level story missions or PvP. i'll do it with you

Speaking of addictive urges... I'm thinking of getting an XBox One + Destiny just to create three new guardians.. and to play Destiny with some friends who've never seen the raid/end game content.

Yeah I reported him, but I still don't see the point of the cheat. Faster move speed when you're not holding weapons maybe? Does that even make sense? I think if you are invis and you jump over somone and look down and melee, you get the hit from behind bonus, kind of like jumping over someone in SF and still hitting them.
