Destiny |OT26| Like a Hat

I did it with a hunter, and no void primaries..took me quite long. Ended up playing a lot of control with a void heavy machine gun (The swarm) and a void fusion (light/beware). I was basically camping out as soon as I had heavy ammo, and try to hide in corners where there was a lot of traffic so I could hit people with the fusion rifle.
I feel like Snipers are fair and square in Destiny, especially because of the big red star when we use it. I don't remember playing another FPS that had this mechanism.
Some people can be demons with them at close range, but I respect that lol, takes a lot of risk and skill.
Word of Crota (Hard Crota drop) is a pretty decent PVP hand cannon with Void damage, I did my Thorn bounty with it, took around 2 hours and half.
You yourself said you dont snipe.
I snipe a lot and I can say it's not easy if a sniper is able to do that despite stuff like TLW and shotguns then again...they have outplayed you.
The sniper is trying to hit a small target i.e. your head with a slow weapon that zooms and flinches hard...aimassist won't do anything for that as it doesnt do much for close range properly, and it's more of a hindrance if you are hardscoping against more than one sniper because it'll keep messing your aim by sticking to the enemies as they keep moving. If you get killed then it's simply because you got outplayed honestly. Statistics show that snipers lag quite far behind other weapons when it comes to total kills.

Props to the people who tend to rush in the Trials, you make things much more exciting instead of that boring long range play that is all the rage nowadays /oldmanyellsatcloud
This is also a good example on how to not use your Radiance when there is someone with a shotgun nearby.
I never use snipers yes, I like fusions and shotguns way more because I actually have a chance to hit stuff with it haha
Ill come back to you sometime far into the future to see if I can agree with you on it being that hard, it seemed easy to me because I'm mostly a victim of close range snipe kills instead of long range. That's all.

Yup, I haven't done Vault Of Glass before, if you'd be willing to do that? Level 32 so I could do either mode.

Highly recommend doing VOG in Hard Mode for a chance at helmets and Fatebringer. Normal Mode is pretty useless. If you are over lvl 30 it's a good challenge, just don't die

Woah, hold up! Sidearms are getting a slight buff? Was that mentioned in the weekly update for weapon tuning 2.0? I don't remember reading anything about that.

Unstable and Nghtly are the only streamers I enjoy, and for opposite reasons. Both pull off amazing plays, that's a constant. But:Yeah i watched that, the dude hadn't bought anything and wasn't ready to be carried plus was wearing gear not for his class etc so yeah Unstable was a bit annoyed and that was fair enough.
In fairness though, the games after it where i was playing with them, once the stream had cut out due to Unstable's internet issues he did apologise to Wicked for having a go at him, they were joking around about it too so i think it was cool
I watched Nghtly's stream the other day for the first time and holy shit is that guy chilled. Like it seems effortless, not worried about getting revives or anything he's just like pew pew pew. Then like oh no my K/D guiz! Joking obviously.
Stabie keeps the conversation going. He informs the viewers of every step of his decision making process without being annoying. He's just like "alright I think they're flanking. Let's go around. They're gonna be sniping I'm not gonna open that door" kind of thing, and it's mixed with his constant joking around and super intense "come on guys we got this!" football coach speeches. Great stuff.
Nghtly and Legend are just chill to an almost incomprehensible level. You don't get any insight into their decision making because they don't really communicate all that much. They'll go their separate ways and just call out stuff like "he's one shot" or "two on me". No strategy. But so damn chill, it's like the fact that they're gonna win is just a given and they're looking for style points. They don't discuss how to win, it's like let me get the triple or lol let them revive so we can keep sniping them over and over again.
Great points on both. Nghtly letting them get revives for higher KDR is God tier.

I don't use one in PvP and essentially no other exotic is worthwhile for PvE.
But I mostly use Gunslinger:
Celestial Nighthawk or Achlyophage Symbiote depending on the mission. Nighthawk is gimmicky tbh but it's fun. I rarely switch to it. For PvP, ALWAYS the Achlyophage -- unless it is 3v3 in which case I use Lucky Raspberry for a grenade every time I spawn or get revived.
Only other thing I change (apart from PoE gear) is my arms. I have 3 main ones... One that increases reload for Hand Cannons (for my Ill Will build), Special, and Heavy. I tend to use the increased heavy for PvE since most of my Specials have fast reloads anyway.

That's usually what I do. I see a destiny gaming side thread and usually don't even bother clicking on it anymore because it's the same shit over and over.
No point in trying to argue or change people's perception on this game when their mind is set.... You will only just give yourself a headache. It's best to stay away and just hang here.
DGAF is a great community and even though we got our criticism's of this game, like every franchise, at least we're not ignorant about it.

They're on XB1, but watch Dr Lupo and Ninja with no L sometime. They are on another level and quite fun to watch.

I've seen that last Destiny thread in gaming. Same crap as usual. What worries me is if Destiny has completely destroyed my ability to enjoy other games. The only thing I have completed since I started playing (June) is Tomb Raider 2013 in 4 days, playing fast to get back to Destiny asap. I've tried all sorts of games, but now everything sucks.
Maybe I have gotten lazy. I have learned most of Destiny's mechanics, I am comfortable there despite most day's boredom and the game tends to give instant gratification. Whenever I play I always end obtaining something, be it a legendary, strange coins, a mote of light... Then I try to disconnect a bit by starting a new game and I feel like I am achieving nothing, just wasting time (When Destiny is the actual timewaster).
I have Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls preordered for September, the kind of game I will play regardless of whether it sucks or not, just for knowing what happens in that part of story, and I want to hope it will disconnect me from Destiny. I'm afraid of becoming one of those "single game gamers".
I could force a Destiny break by not renewing the PSN subscription, though...

I've had a few of those periods. Thing that helped me was actually removing the Destiny disc from my system -_- Also, just pick a few days a week (or weeks) that you play 'something else'.
