Strange tho as the specialist buff didnt really seem like a buff...no big dmg bonus at all..

Yeah that was the worst part, it felt like my shotgun was doing what it normal does and it just killed my primary damage. No fun.

This game is going for 20 bucks brand new at gamestop. I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet on this?
I could get my destiny fix by redboxing it but i'd like to play on a next gen console and redbox has been slowly adding ps4 and xbox1 games near me. That and most of my friends seem to have moved away from the game already (thats why you can play with your fellow neogafers here i know).

I dont know if i'll be playing it much once halo 5 does come out.

No worries man. It was way harder than all of us thought. The definitely didn't seem like that much of a buff. Buffed those captains more than us it felt like. Maybe we'll try again later but the reward doesn't seem worth the headache tbh.

I prefer keeping the Horn for a very specific reason: killing the minotaur on Venus. I feel like this option is way more useful than killing the oracles a few seconds faster.

A big +1 to this, also happens to be true for Corrective Measure (void) > SGA (solar). That Minotaur wrecked way more runs back in the day than falling behind on Oracles. I'm glad SGA has some purpose, but it's a solution to a non-existent problem. Even so, it's awesome that there are so many ways to spec out for Atheon, like others have said.

edit: also you can solo hard oracles with 6 FVerdict shells if you time it perfectly.

Clans are used for acquiring the Strike and Raid clan trophies, but they can also be a good way to keep in touch with DGAF'ers. Not to mention a fun addition to your in-game emblem!

Also the exotic Super Good Advice is an oracle destroyer as none of your bullets count as actually hitting something so your clip lasts forever. It's a beast.

this perk also applies to mines in PoE and detainment fields.

Well if your running HM Oracles with noobs or scrubs then SGA makes it much easier to solo the oracles with time to spare. VoC+BH+SGA is a Good loadout for LFG Atheon runs.

The Limited Edition is gonna go on sale in about 20mins through Amazon's Prime Day Sale. Might be worth taking a look at as it includes the Expansion Pass for TDB and HoW.

Yes it was Normal CE, and yes, we were all overleveled, but I'm still impressed we did it on the second shot despite none of us having participated in a flawless run before. Especially because the first run was ruined by random "killed by the architects" while you were standing on level ground.

Only had time for the lvl 28 PoE last night before the storms in the Southeast caused internet outages but I got a Payment VI pulse rifle from the large chest at the end. The rolled perks are Third Eye and Reactive Reload.

Is it worth keeping and re-rolling or should I break it down? Supposedly it has a higher hidden aim assist stat but other than that it looks pretty equal to the Vanguard pulse rifle.

Yeah I have the Sir GHorn info but we already have School o' Hawk and I'm trying to keep the list length somewhat reasonable. I don't want new players asking for clans to be overwhelmed if we direct them to the list. That said, if you/other Sir Horn members want to include it I'll definitely throw it on there.

I honestly think it should be included since the clan is more Xbox oriented than PS. add a footnote or something stating it's for folks looking for Xbox One peeps.
There's no one on the PS side whereas there are 5 Xbox clanmates and most of the people following the group are Xbox folks.

Yeah, that's why it will be repeating the same mistakes. Instead of refining the present balance by subtles and regular hotfixes, they'll do a big overhaul without any beta test and we'll have the same bullshit again for another year.

The GList has increased in number the past few days; it's crazy! I think the next task at hand is trying to help GAF complete their Triumphs list (which I've seen members do already); Hard Crota, Skolas, Aethon, PvP challenge etc.

I was thinking of buying a digital copy of Destiny and selling or trading my physical copy. PSN lists only the Digital Guardian Edition for $60 that has both expansion passes. I already own those so I guess I am out of luck for a vanilla digital copy?

I really don't like excluding clans for the sake of adding more info to other clans. If length is an issue, then just get rid of the unnecessary filler (statements and founders).

Congrats guys! Really well played. It was good fun watching from the sidelines with a drink in hand not worrying about sweaty palms. I'm super glad you got to run sword Haybro! Running flawless sword was one of the most exhilarating things I've done in gaming and it's great someone else got to experience it. Nice recovery on the last swing!

Yeah, if it doesn't interest you or if what you have left is too grindy, I don't think you should feel obligated.

As for the run last night, I thought it was nice to finally have some stakes involved that forced us to play outside of our comfort zone. We've gotten those raids down to a science (no pun intended!) to the point where it almost feels like we're playing on autopilot throughout. So having that added tension of not wanting to let the group down with a death and having to slightly change up the tactics was a welcome change of pace for me.

Now we just have 2 months to the day to wait for more of that...

All this clan talk made me realize I still have two big multplayer hurdles on my way to guardian lord...the raid and strike with all clan members. Had kinda written off getting guardian lord, but getting the flawless done rekindled that fire. I'm a member of DestinyGAF, but I rarely see anyone around.

Anyone else out there need these two trophies? Happy to hop clans or whatever to make this happen!

I haven't quite figured out the role that sidearms are intended to serve in the sandbox. I spent this morning doing some activities with Dreg's Promise. I like that it's unique - the three shot burst surprised me - but every time I was using it, I found myself wishing I had a shotgun out instead. The effective range is just too short to be very versatile. At this point it might be the only of the PoE exotics I level and then park in the vault.
