You can watch Bungies GDC talk about designing Destiny and how the game started out full high fantasy. I am not saying you are wrong and im sure some of the lore ideas came from unused Halo or work in progess halo stuff but I don't think it was ever a "Halo" game they reskinned.

funny thing is if it was titled Halo:Guardians it would be getting 9's and 10's

I would give it at least an 8.5 as is. There are a ton of problems but when it comes down to it I haven't had this much fun playing a game in a long time. (playing with 3/4 friends of similar levels)

That's really not necessary if you're willing to put it in work in strikes rather than farming. You'll even get postcard mail that contains legendary goodies occasionally (I think its tied to the Grimore challenges).

When Bungie unveiled the very first raid in Destiny, the Vault of Glass, they stated that the quickest you would likely see someone complete it would be 6 hours. The first official completion of the raid took roughly 12 hours, but we’ve seen record timing come from a group of players since then.

ProfessorBroman & a group of friends have completed the Vault of Glass raid in just under 2 hours. It’s an incredible feat, and he’s captured the entire clip on his YouTube channel.


To our knowledge, this is the fastest that any group has completed the Vault of Glass raid in Destiny by a large margin. The complete clearing of the raid took an incredible amount of coordination, so don’t expect to come very close to replicating it.

Arc blade really has some severe balancing problems in PvP. It's quite ridiculous to have an ability that makes you charge into a machine gun user, survive with a high amount of health and then just bash the button to fly all over the place, killing everyone with a launch melee attack. And it also resets the super meter. I mean wth?

All the invincibility crap must go for that matter, it's not just the Arc Blade. There's no need to use defensive subclasses if the offensive super abilities have such good survivability. And it's not easy to get a target in that small window before they pull off the super, so it's fine as it is I feel, as far as the challenge goes.

Yeah, no one has invincibility. It's pretty easy to shut down arc blade users if you see them coming. I have no idea what you mean by "resets the super meter." I'm guessing you've never even used the ability. It's the same deal when I shotgun a titan or warlock right as they get their super off. They live, I die, no big deal.

I'm happy to be proven wrong, but I honestly do not see this happening. Maybe they'll do something as a result of all the complaints. But honestly, with buffed drop rates for legendaries, as of this time next week, I'd consider them almost too easy to get.

I suck at determining what stats are good on things. Damage, rate, impacts? Some of the legendary or exotic items don't get me excited, but others are losing their minds.

It's the random bits of plain luck that always happen. You're playing Control, Bladedancer Hunter, Point A is surrounded by five guys, activate super, every dies.

The game is great at making you feel like a complete badass.

Gasp! Engrams can actually be borderline ignored to progress in this game. You can also gear out your second character with Legendaries earned on your first!

Inane, but have to share.

Just killed 3 people with Fist of Havoc. 4th came and shotgunned me. My Fist of Havoc's aftershock kills this person. The final kill I needed for Postmortem bounty.

I got the final kill of the battle (in regards to points). I got the most points of everyone, beating another guy on my team by only 20 pts.

Thank you RNGesus for making them all group up at the end of the match.

Hope I don't jinx myself, but I don't see how getting the Postmortems is difficult for some and not for others. I usually get mine in Control, because people really are dumb enough to stand in the wake of your damage dealing grenade after you die. It almost never fails.

For me it depends on the expansion stuff. If there is new low level content I might start a new character. If its all more end game raids and gear I'll just stick with my guy.

i'm unsure if my armor dropped or something. i went back to try out the lvl 18 strike mode at lvl 17 and found i was losing health faster than the last time i tried it at lvl 16 with i think the other two players were lvl 17.

since the first i got new armor so idk. maybe my team just sucked but they did since they died and not really good at not dying lol.

Every time you level up, he sends you a present in the mail. That really seems to be it.

I haven't fully worked out the logistics here but I'm pretty sure you can gear out alts with Vanguard gear purchased on your first character and weapons purchased from any vendor.

Yeah something is definitely up with Arc Blade. The target should be able to evade somehow. I've been thinking I need to keep my super meter full and hit it when I see an arc blade user. Wish they took double dmg or something. I'm sure its a fun power for Hunters to spam though
