2 pieces of legendary gear on now. Just need my final piece and I have enough strange coins to get it.

Now we play the waiting game.

I have 4 legendary weapons :p OPTIONS!

I bought a future war cult sash when I hit 20. When worn all Xp goes to fwc. I'm 2.25 deep with them now I just need to unlock vanguard.

I'm in the same boat. I'm trying to push for level 3 but its steep... I need that chest piece and weapon access though. I already got their Semi Auto (The Calling) and its PERFECT

only primary weapon I've had that I felt comfortable bringing into PvP and PvE. It levels slow but I've been wrecking shop with it. Favorite gun by far.

Its a shame too because I picked up this pulse rifle that seemed to do pretty good with added stability. I might buy another later.

I calculated it.

In 2 weeks, if you get 100 per week. You can buy the chest, legs, and arms. However it will take an entire 2 weeks to just get the helm.

Buy the exotic helmet off Xur. That way you can get all legendary and exotic in 2 weeks minus the weapons, well that's if he's still selling it next weekend.

We've finished our Nexus run and are now at the tower. 13 rares and 2 legendary engrams.. here goes nothing!

Edit: Oh CMON! 11 rares and 3 greens.. I can't even..

Bungie should fix it where engrams don't give you something lower than they should, and as a sorry to the community, give me my fucking helmet and arms I deserved from getting those titan helmets and arms. Fuck you loot system lol

Got my first legendary...

it's a pulse rifle. :|

try it. they don't all suck lol

stability and recoil are the deciding factors in all pulse rifles. as long as its high and bursts stay consistent, you're working with the best of all worlds

If I get any more legendary engrams, I'm sticking them in the bank until a potential patch maaaybe fixes the "problem".

I'm all fushion all day in pvp. Fushion plus shoulder dash 1 hit kill. I still need a good weapon for PvE though. I currently use full auto and sniper in pve. That fwc chest that allows to carry extra snipe ammo is HUGE.

So I just accidentally destroyed a legendary gauntlet I needed to get to level 25 from level 24 because I've held square on like 40 items in a row, so an upgrade is the first new thing in like 6-7 hours of playing.

No confirmation whatsoever in destroying it, just gave me three ascendant shards which are useless to me atm.

Thanks bungie, thanks.

Vanguard marks make no sense. You get two for the Vanguard Strikelist level 20 Strike.

That is insultingly low. It's more worthwhile to locate Public Events and farm them as you get 4 for successfully completing them. And you can do Patrol Missions / farm for mats you can also turn in for marks while waiting for them.

I went from 44 Vanguard Marks to 89 tonight doing this.

I just don't get their grinds. Like, even if you were designing an MMO, it's backwards in what you should do. The Strikes should award 5-10 at the lower levels to encourage people to do them.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds PvP completly fucking frustrating as hell? No fun at all. Bullshit kills left and right.

All of the boss fights are bad and need tweaking, but Phogoth is a whole separate level of did-anyone-playtest-this garbage on Hard and above.

I know that's been brought up a lot, but jesus.

so is there anything to do with the weapon parts and horadric whatever it is you get when you break down certain weapons? how do you use that stuff?

i can't see myself ever bringing an AR into PvE again.

okay - maybe against the vex, but for everything else they just don't get the job done

I'm convinced that the AI can hear you speak through the Mic. Me and a friend were doing the Devil's Lair and had Sepiks at 1% health. Asked him if we should kill the minions first and agreed to. Afterwards, the AI did something that they didn't do the entire game and chased me into the little room and we almost died.

Yep. I have little incentive to get 120 marks for the helmet. I'll get 65 next week for the arms, then PvP for chance at the helmet, and chest I'll get exotic. I don't even want to consider weapons. I'd rather just get an exotic main weapon.

My entire team quits like 30 seconds into a Control match. I mess around and play the next five minutes by myself. My team fills up 30 seconds before the match ends and two of my teammates get legendary engrams. WTF

They will do that anyway, just a pathing thing.

That's a really good point. I tend to hit strikes for the drops but honestly... its not worth it over all. I'll pick a planet with materials that I'm low on and just patrol until something changes.

I'm level 23 and haven't gotten a single legendary, not even an engram.

At this rate how am I supposed to get to raid level?

it's starting to get frustrating with camo blade dancers blinking with shotguns and buffed sunsingers with OHK grenades and titans who basically own any room they step into

The "warning" is the long ass bar that fills up before deleting it.

Gloves: increased reload speed with Scout Rifle
Chest: carry more ammo with Scout Rifle
Legs: carry more ammo with Scout Rifle

Guess what weapon I'm using! Hoping to find one a little higher level though (17 rare).

I'm lvl 24 and got one legendary engram that turned into a lvl 18 green weapon. And for the past day I haven't gotten a single upgrade. Played maybe like 10-15 strikes yesterday.

I'm still a bit confused as to what peole general do. I like doing strikes more than crucible. that means i should not equip any faction bond right? because by doing so, I wont be able to level up my vanguard rank cause it'll change to my faction rank. and as i was checking around the tower, every faction uses crucible marks and not vanguard marks, making them useless. So I dunno what to do.

tl;dr. I like to do pve. should i still be equipping a faction bond if what i really need to level up is my vanguard rep and farm vanguard marks?

Just "beat" the game about an hour ago.

To me Destiny honestly felt like half of a game. And I don't use that term lightly. I wouldn't even call something like Titanfall "half a game", because I don't think there's an issue with having a core focus (like competitive multiplayer) and making a game that just does that core thing well (if you think Titanfall doesn't do it well, that's fine. Not the point it's just an example).

But man, man. Destiny just abruptly stops about 10 hours in. Go on a random quest, complete it with little to no fanfare and....that's it. A two minute cutscene where you're going "wait...what's going..........is this ending?" and then bam, no fanfare, you're back in the hub and you've beaten the game. There's no new post game content from what I can tell outside of higher difficulties on the missions, either. (correct me if I'm wrong here?)

Like, man. That is just brutal. I'm glad I paid $34 for this due to a pricing error because had I paid full price...yeesh. I'd be pretty pissed.

Also PvP multiplayer is pretty barebones for a Bungie game. Seems fairly unbalanced in terms of classes (some characters skills just utterly dominate from what I've seen) and is lacking in content, I think there's only 5 maps and 5 modes from my count. I expect way better from Bungie in this regard.

Brutal. There's some good core shooting here, and I think the loot works for the most part (though lacks variety) but this is not a complete product at all in my book. And again, I don't just throw that term around at any game that's "only 10 hours long" or "is only multiplayer with no campaign".

Really too bad. Thankfully I didn't have through-the-roof hype for the game or anything, so I'm not massively sad/disappointed, but I am disappointed none the less. I'll probably give multiplayer a couple more shots to grab me but if not, I'll probably shelve it. Which is not something I expect to do with this type of game!
