We also had 0 Titans so it is doable without bubble buffs (not that I recommend that, but that was just the makeup of the group). Your notes and video helped a ton to detail what's going on. I encourage any individual or group who felt like they couldn't get a HM Oryx kill this weekend due to nothing more than RNG LL (I know I did) to give the strat a shot.

Awesome, glad it worked out for you guys. And yep, no class is specifically needed, but a Titan with blessing will help mitigate ToM damage, weapons is useful when taking down the shade, a Hunter is useful for making the runner and others invisible and tether adds/vessel if needed, and Warlocks can pull the clutch self-revive.

ive got my alt hard raid ready but he's never run a raid before

this is my second titan character--should i run a regular raid first and then HM with this character? I just want HM armor drops.

I´m confused, so is this doable at 308 or not?

I thought I couldn´t do any damage <310, no?

No big deal, we will catch up in two weeks or so, but for >50% of DGAF the first HM weekend has been rather frustrating.

I was disappointed at first due to being at a huge disadvantage during Oryx due to shitty drops. But now I think it's doable as a 308/9.

Sure:

Alright, alternate strategy for Oryx:

1. Starts normally; 1 jumper, 3 on the platforms, 2 on the daughters platform (whoever the relic is above is the floater who can be on the daughters platform).
2. 3 on the platforms crouch on the back of their platform and don't need to do anything. 2 on the daughters need to weaken all the ogres (25-50%).
3. When the jumper calls out that he has the relic, everyone gets to the daughter platform that is opposite of Oryx. Watch out for that pesky ship. Start shooting the vessel once the relic holder steals the brand, but everyone switch to Oryx once he opens up.
4. Stagger Oryx, finish killing the vessel, and then 4 designated people (most likely the platform people) each call out when they are ready to kill their ogre. You have 30 seconds from stagger to detonation, so take your time. Once you get 4 "readys" kill them, the 4 jump down and detonate their bombs. Relic holder jumps down to the floor in the middle, and everyone groups up there. Keep shooting Oryx.
5. The rest is the same. Just repeat 3 more times and you have your kill.

Haha; at 308 you'll definitely be very squishy, but as long as you have 310 weapons you'll be okay doing damage. Definitely recommend trying out the strat I posted above. I don't think I'll be on today at all (Sunday=football day), but if that changes I'll let you know.

I´m good on the weapon front. It´s my fucking 302 Ghost, 303 Butt towel and 298 Helmet that drag me down.

Can´t get better drops.

Everything you said we implemented in our runs save for the Titan part obviously.

We had 1 person at 308 and 2 at 309 if that helps. It is more than doable.

Did a kill this morning w the new strat and there were at least 2 people at 308-309 light. It's fine for this strat, it was fine for original strat as well if people knew the encounter well. New strat definitely makes it easier though. 308 is squishy but it's not that different from 310.

Anyone have a few mins to help with Skirmish Scouted on Dread Patrol. I can't make the jumps and am getting really annoyed.

I really hope they don't. It's an interesting way to handle the ogres/knights, not really cheese.

It's similar to CE hardmode using the middle platform to get around boomers and they never changed that.

I would hope that going forward they keep something, anything, as a drop from all bosses/checkpoints. Doing hard mode so far I've balled out and gotten nothing, twice. At least on normal I would have received some shards, but to defeat a boss/checkpoint and get nothing really kills my enthusiasm.
