What's the best way of gaining light levels / farming items so I can get to the Rise of Iron content? I didn't play a huge amount of Taken King and I'm only at light level 222 and I need to be 280 to progress with the story. Any good farming spots or areas you recommend doing to quickly level up?
EDIT: probably a stupid question, is the original raid soloable now?

After you hit 350 it doesn't, leveling turns into a crawl after 350.

Vault of Glass will never be solo-able no matter how powerful we get. It has multi-person mechanics.
Fair enough, I never got to do any of the raids in Destiny so wasn't sure how it scaled / worked

The second one, Crota's End, is the only one that can be solo'd. It's pretty easy too.

I made it to the top of the mountain, and almost anywhere I fall off it now, I get teleported up near the top.

What's the recommended LL for the raid again? I'm busy all day Friday, so I'm looking to be ready to raid Saturday.

A SIVA Cluster.
AFAIK, they're just for Grimoire.
And eventually you need to go partially back up for something required for an Exotic.
They drop from any splicer fallen, you can only hold one at a time

Bungie has to fix the ax switching in Archons forge. If my teammate dies,the game prioritized getting their ax over picking them up.caused us to wipe with about 30% health on a Perfect shank boss. 😡😡😡

Why's it easy as a hunter? Does anything affect your movement in a social hub?
The radius on picking up those axes is waaaaay too big.
I'm finally at the point where outside of the raid items I'm saying no, for my vault too

Not entirely true, there is a step in the RoI book that requires collecting 15? of them.

Eh. I think I'm going to get rid of a lot of my weapons, save for the House Judgement, Queen and some other outlier weapons. I saved a lot of them because they were max light, but that's kinda useless now.

The new areas free from last gen are aesthetically lovely, music is top notch and I really enjoyed the missions. Not enough tho!

One appears in the location you spawn into so load in, check if one is there, if not back out and load in again.

Kill, Assassination, and Quarantine all seem to be equally rare and will only show up when you don't need them.

No, it's the "hard mode" for the Devil's Lair strike. I think the prompt only pops after you've done enough of the post-story missions

Court of Oryx is a good place, but it depends what your LL is?
First mission done. So uninspired I can't take it. The writing is on a whole new level of embarassiing. I really enjoyed The Taken King, even with its cheese, at least its locations and enemies were visually interesting. So far this feels like It was made by Bungie's c-team. Should I keep going?
