If you read the item description closely, the code is on a card that comes packaged with the pin. Gotta wait on that post man!

I'm confused on how to preload the game on PS4. I searched for Destiny 2 on the PlayStation store, found it, the store confirms that I purchased the digital deluxe edition, I click on that version and there is no option to download/preload (I can return to the game page, give it a thumbs up or rate it). Anyone else having this issue (MST in USA)? I'm glad I've got a week to figure this out.
I think you have to go to "library", "purchased games", and download from there.
My favorite time in D1 was after Crota's End released and people were running Vault and Crota every week.

bah. I got caught up in PVP last night in the PC beta and now I'm considering getting the PS4 version and just selling/trading it in once I jump ship.
I was shocked that my usual co-op friend is somehow able to run it on his toaster from 2010. That's probably the best thing about the PC version for me, online games that my usual crew can't play (monster hunter, destiny) are always a downer because I feel like I'm blowing them off.

It's exciting to realize that we barely know anything about exotics in D2.
We were shown a few glimpses of some in the reveal trailers, the 3 weapons from the beta and the few we saw from the EDZ gameplay -- otherwise we know much less of what to expect compared to going into Destiny 1's release date.
I'm half and half about some exotics returning, assuming they've been tweaked and buffed to be more useful than in D1.

They really should just quash the useless ones, or make sure they can be purchased separately and not through Xur or as raid drops..
Separate missions to obtain said exotics would be a fun way to distinguish them as well... Maybe use a stupid gimmicky way you have to beat a boss with a 3/4 man team to get. Something different and fun to get the different and fun exotics...

As a final farewell to D1, I was thinking of doing one last raid. Either Kings or WotM Hard Mode. Though I really want to do Kings, a bunch of rusty players doing the jumping seems fun.

there will be some duds and misfires and ones that will need post-launch tweaks... but finding a whole new game's worth of favorites, when that was something I enjoyed so much about the first, is such a good feeling- plus, at Destiny launch the "exoticness" wasn't even unlocked when you first got the gun. Now all of them you can pick up and shoot.

Was just thinking. We really don't know much about this game at ALL content wise. That makes me so excited. There are gonna be a bunch of surprises.

I was perturbed enough by this to cancel my Amazon preorder and just buy a $100 PSN code, and then pre-order through the PSN store.
So that option is there if you want it.

Honestly though I think Bungie did a yeoman's job of keeping this a total secret until the 2-week mark out from launch. I hope that there are at least some players out there who don't have it spoiled before discovering it in-game.

Odds are that after a year you won't be able to switch to a digital version without having to repurchase the expansion packs.
Eventually, vanilla Destiny 2 will go away from the online store and you'll be stuck with buying a version that includes stuff that you already paid for.

I just hope for some more exotic exotics, so many of them in TTK seemed to have some sort of "regenerate ammo" perk and not much else.
Managed to avoid most media for D2, so I'll go in as blind as possible. I'm not one to get hyped but the anticipation is certainly growing.
