The Cryptarch's Bane
Can we all agree that those who go inside to do the oracles have it a LOT easier than those who stay outside to kill supplicants? Oracles always spawn in the same place. Just shoot them once with a fusion gun and move to the next.
Based on the times I have been killed by a boomer supplicant upon exiting the portal, I do assume we have the easier job inside. Damn things.

Lol, I've never heard of that kind of punishment before, I agree with it though, the maps are terrible on Mars.

I just don't get Doctor Nope, I really can't see it having sincere viability in PvP, general PvE, against bosses... I have no idea what it's for. Yes, you can spray 40 billion bullets with no downtime, but are they better than those you'd shoot from any number of other guns?

lol god

Doctor Nope has been underwhelming so far. If you are within close range it can be good for PvP but anything mid-range or beyond it is lacking.

Heh I love how some people come up with the same callouts. Saw someone in the OT using Mars and Venus as callouts for the two different timegates.

Even though they are both the same location in the VoG on Venus at different time periods

inb4 DVR?
Can't. My brother is recording a movie around the same time and so is my other brother who's recording some crappy show. Both won't be in the house during that time so I can't record the show. If I did, it would disrupt service at one of the other two boxes in the house, leading to either my third brother or my mother stopping recording so they can watch their shit.

Who ever designed the Mars maps should be beaten with a pillowcase full of batteries
Firebase Delphi and Bastion* are alright, but Blind Watch is baaaaaaad.

As long as you don't get stuck in the outer perimeter.

Three days off starting tomorrow. Already added a bunch of you for IB but didn't get much time to play yesterday after running nightfall for the bonus.

Will be on for a little bit tonight. All day tomorrow.

Titan 28
Hunter 26

Iron banner. Need nightfall on my Hunter. Heroic on Titan/Hunter. If I hit 29 then HM raid.

Feel free to add for anything.

Only the ones from the postmaster upon leveling up Cryptarch

I don't think this should be happening. Is it true?

How many people seriously have 2 or 3 characters at that level? It's not difficult but it is time consuming.

I can pull off a 27 coin week but I seriously doubt most players will do that. Exotics will remain rare, Xur exotics less so but still a valid progression for the majority of folks who get screwed by RNG.

Why would you need more than one character to run a 9 coin event twice in a 10 day window?

You lost me.

Am I the only one who really enjoys Blind Watch?

Blind Watch is great for Skirmish, Clash, Salvage....

It's ass on Control because someone at Bungie forgot to playtest the fucking control points lol.

Cap B and C, set up camp and win. If you spawn on that side enjoy your win.

One of the top results for "Vault of Glass Guide" is a walkthrough on reddit that uses those same call outs. Just based on that it seems pretty common.

Has anyone else leveled up Doctor Nope (legendary AR) fully and can tell me how it handles after all upgrades? I am about half way and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in it so far. I'm holding out hope that the stability perk and the gun damage perks later in the tree will make it worthwhile. It sprays bullets like a firehouse but has the accuracy of a lawn sprinkler.

It's a beast to master even with the stability upgrade. Impact remains too low and while the recoil can be managed it requires too much effort for me to keep it on target while also avoiding enemy fire. I wouldn't use it on anything that's dangerous from a distance or has a massive damage AOE melee attack.

Basically I would save my ass energy for more manageable ARs (Shadow Price, Vanguisher, Grim Citizen, Exotics)

bungie needs to retire blind watch from matchmaking, unless they relocate the capture zones, move the heavy ammo somewhere else, and take out the automatic doors. absolutely puzzling design choices there.

Firebase Delphi and Shores of Time are two maps I can play forever and never get bored. Destiny's own little lockout.

Damn - Destiny is falling on the Amazon's charts. The Xbox One version fell many places unfortunately. Makes we worried that by middle of next year there population will would be nearly nonexistent. I'd feel really stupid for playing (investing in character) something so much that will be dead soon.

Most likely I am just being a drama queen, though.

Maybe this means that a lot of people already own the game, so that's why there are fewer people buying it?

Since the patch there is zero chance of a legendary engram producing a rare item.

If I read your message right, you're misinterpreting what that package is. I find a lot of people don't understand that package for some reason.

The package itself is purple in color. It's a box, nothing more. The color of the package does not indicate what's inside of it, the tooltip for the package says what could be inside of it.

The Cryptarch leveling reward package pretty clearly states that it can contain rare items and lengendary items. The engrams that pop out of that package will produce the reward and if a legendary engram pops out, it will produce a legendary reward, every time, guaranteed.

We use... left and right.

I don't get why groups would use anything else.
My favorite because it means I know where to go when coming out of the portal and I can't see anything.
what the fuck is going on here? happened last night playing IB.

All kinds of oddness.
I got this weird shot. My sniper rifle headshot also headshot the guy it completely missed. Praedyth's Revenge does not have penetration as far as I know.

Nah, outside is cake too. It's just that the supplicants spawn right behind the portal and they're hard for the players on gate pillars to kill sometimes. The Sniper on the high pillar actually does most of the work :]

Then again this is just my hard mode experience talking. I've always been portal team on normal so I don't know what the outside is like there. Portal team on hard is a pretty big increase in difficulty.

Destiny is serious business to me lol. Just want to make sure I didn't back the wrong horse. I want this game to be like MW2 - always alive and kicking. Doesn't make me feel silly for playing so much. Hopefully that make sense.
I guess my thing would be... your personal experience of having fun with the game or not should trump everything else. Unless I were paying a subscription for it, it's so hard for me to imagine buying a game and thinking "I hope that by June 2015 there's still a playerbase above a certain threshold to make the time investment worthwhile and validate all the hours I could have been spent playing something else"- like, either you enjoyed them or you didn't! ;)

If it makes you feel any better, sales dropoffs on Amazon after product launch aren't linearly tied to longterm population viability for an online game. There will be surges in the near-term at price drops or sales, but these don't indicate future stability either. My personal prediction, and I have made others and been correct in the past, is that it will, in fact, have a healthy population around that time in the future and for some time to come after that as well. If nothing else, you have a pretty damn strong core of GAF players here who are likely to be around to play with.

Been going through VoG in around an hour each time now. Got my first raid piece and I'm working on levelling it. Got two characters so I can pool resources and get it done quicker.

So I've hit a bit of a wall getting my hunter from level 27 to 28, and I want to get in on some of these ass shard rewards from the VoG.

As someone who's never attempted the raid, am I going to be under leveled at 27? I have shadow price and the supremacy sniper.

I'm always on the outside team. The few times in teleported inside by mistake I have no idea what to do. I'm marked immediately but I also have to kill Oracles but also have to kill adds but also have to get cleansed but omg we're dead.

Outside duty is simple: fuck Supplicants up. Outside for life <3

Any tips on inside duty? Not my thing but it's good in case I ever gotta.

You only get the coins once per character. It's a 7 day window.

I see what he's saying. Character one runs the weekly monday, then again on tuesday reset pre-Xur then voila 18 strange coins in 2 days.

Opposed to the characters 1, 2, and 3 running the weekly monday then again on Tuesday reset for 54 strange coins.
