Eh, I got about 6 or 7 engrams in about an hour total of farming that spot, so it wasn't dumb for me. Much faster than replaying missions over and over.

I don't remember even getting any marks prior to level 20. Just focus on getting to 20, then switch to marks until you get a full set of purple gear. How you do the purple gear will be up to you.

The vanguard uses vanguard marks and rep.

The Crucible vendors use crucible rep and crucible marks.

the faction vendors use all rep earned when you are wearing their class item, in other words all rep from bounties, events etc goes to them and not the other two. The faction reps use crucible marks.

Vanguard Playlist and bounties (PVE) will always be Vanguard. there is no way to switch them to crucible.

Crucible only awards crucible marks. There is no way to switch them to vanguard.

I know my purple shirt that I bought maxes at 300ish, but someone said that had something that dropped that maxes at 400ish.

It makes sense though. there is a range that everything can be in each rarity class.
 
Great. 4 legendary engrams in an hour. All ascendant energy or crappy rare loot. The RNGod giveth and it taketh away

Edit: whoops, wrong thread. Any other fireteams streaming the raid out there though?
 
tried the Moon mission the door with the Hive storming out, but did not get much drops as i saw in the youtube video

will try again tonight but what else can i do to get legendary stuff?

I am not able to trust playing multiplayer because i am on Wifi and get disconnected at times

There is loot throughout the the thing not just at the end. What they said specifically was the reward at the end wasn't good because both groups just got crafting materials.

The group i was in got multiple exotics and legendaries in our run.
 
Has anyone else got the bug that prevents Time's Vengeance from popping?

Very fucking annoying, for some reason it just stopped applying... Everyone comes through the portal, and then nobody has the buff, but we all live, so we know for sure that all of the Oracles are dying.

Last boss seems to be extremely buggy right now, for some reason there are some serious problems with the portals, and you have to go one at a time.

If you want to farm the moon spot looks way better. More enemies and you're in a no respawn zone. You can get 1500 kills under an hour if I'm correct. I also maxed glimmer on it. I got to 22 last night and have all rare gear now so I want to start focusing on rep and marks.

Wiped on the last boss for a good five hours, but we got it finally.

Total deaths were somewhere around 60 or 70 for me, but I died and got rezzed a lot, so I'm not sure how that skews.

Amazing fight... I don't know why the whole game isn't like this........
 
I wanted to get in there this weekend, but those farming guides ain't working that great, so I just keep grinding the crucible, strikes frustrate me too much, all that hard work and hardly any drops!

Hey quick question; how important is the weapon bonuses from armor? I've got my stats (almost) where I'd like them, but my weapon bonuses are all over the place.
 
Forgot about this thread about the vault, me and some randoms got together and ran it for a few hours the other night.

The layout and creepy feeling of the vault should have really been in the main story somewhere, the huge drop down to the stealth section was interesting and felt strangely scary to drop down into, the use of the artifact shield was cool and again should have been used or bought into a story mission just like the sword.

I'd actually like destiny a lot more if the people who designed the vault of glass spent some time with the other more simple dungeons in the game.

I agree fullheartedly. The Vault of Glass is the best mission in the game, flat out.

Just cleared this thing yesterday and got an awesome sniper rifle, some boots, and a legendary ship.
