For any one that needs the second half of the raid (last two loot drops yet to be claimed), I am hoping to finish up tonight before the reset. I will be on and ready to start the raid between 1500-1600 PDT.

Anyone need a lvl 27 Lock w/ maxed subclasses for a raid? I'm at the 2 portals part and want to finish it but can also do a new run. Last group I was in someone kept dcing. I'm on the PS4. PSN: theaznone420

Bonuses like "Carry more Primary of your choice/Special/Heavy Ammo" is pretty useful, since enemies in the Raid can take a lot of hits. I also like "Increased Reload Speed" for the Primary of my choice. And stats like +STR/INT/DISC are pretty important. If you're a Defender Titan and want to keep throwing the bubble shield up as much as possible, you'll need a lot of INT. Also, the cooldown for the relic (for cleansing darkness) depends on Discipline.
 
Definitely can't screw around in the last part.

Other encounters are straightforward, but the last one needs coordination. Also need a good loadout with some void damage.

When you're fighting Atheon, how do you deal with the Supplicants? I can't kill them fast enough and im dead within 10 seconds of starting the encounter. I can double jump and try to bait them into exploding, but that seems like it's probably not the intended method. Do i just need more dps? Am i supposed to be able to kill them?

Edit: I think we've completed 3/4th of the Raid in two and a half hours. Not bad!

Because of the time zone difference I was playing in the middle of the night so my family was annoyed by my talking. I don't know at what time of the day we'll finish the Raid but if we could do it a few hours earlier that'd be perfect :)

Alright, we'll do it on Thursday then, we have an easier chance of starting it early then.
 
Has anyone ever had Atheon only teleport 2 people? 3 people get the message that says they're being teleported and their screen goes white, but then only 2 people actually teleport. We were doing this fight and it happened so many times we finally just quit trying because it was too annoying. It's basically an insta-wipe when that happens.
 
How many other raids are there to play? I only played the Beta, seems people are beating this raid in like 40 minutes now ( watched a vid on Kotaku ) what else is left to do in the game?

Just get legendary exotic loot and what for the next dlc / content release?

Like other games of Destiny's type, yeah. The end-game largely consists of doing Strike Runs, Bounties, and the raid in an effort to get the best loot you can and get your character to the max level. At which point you can continue playing PvE for fun or focus primarily on PvP.

You can also do whatever weekly content is available, or wait for the first expansion. The game is really repetitive in the content that it recycles, but it's still surprisingly addictive.

Lol. I'll take that bet. You're forgetting they need to patch in the ability to chat with randoms too for that to be even feasable, that I don't see happening.

Hey guys, I'm looking into putting a team together to challenge the level 30 version of the raid. I'm level 29 and I got a friend who's 29 as well. We're looking for four other level 29 soldiers to join us. If possible we would like to try it in a couple of hours. Who's in?

I am pretty anti social when it comes to mic chat. So I don't think playing with randoms or even gaf ( I still love you ) is an option. I have 6 people that will be high enough level in a week or so but some of them are not that good at video games. Do you think with a guide we would be able to complete the vault of glass?

I suggest watching videos of the the things the raid expects out of players.

I'm of the opinion folks who aren't good at video games as far as the challenges in them go and conquering them aren't going to clear a raid without serious help/carrying.

Yeah, 4 out of 6 are pretty skilled including myself. So I think if we knew what to do without having to worry about figuring it out we could do it.

but yeah it wont be fun.

I'm not sure if tonight is good for us, but I've got a group of three that wants to give this another shot now that we're at a higher level. two of us are 29 and one has made it to 30. I'll send you a friend request and try to find out if they're hopping online tonight.

Does anyone know yet what the hard mode raid rewards that the regular raid doesn't? So far I haven't heard of it rewarding anything particularly unique. Kind of lame if the only reason to beat it is just because.
 
Hit 27 yesterday and I should have some time early/afternoon tomorrow if anyone plans on doing a run or needs someone to fill a spot.
