answer me this - is there going to be a series x disc version of the game that you can go and buy that doesn't play on the Xbox one?

If is there writing on the box cover 'Series X/S only', why even get one? Can you at least watch the video on the OP? There are games in the start of this gen that get the old gen version canceled in favor of the current gen.

Why do people keep claiming this game has 5 years of dev time when we know a minimum of two was spent on the engine creation?

The way it works is while nothing can be tested and iterated on the new engine, gameplay concepts are tested on the tech they have. Art is created. Story is written. Etc

They didn't have more than half the studio just waiting for the engine dudes to be done with it....

Gotta agree with John. Do not make this for Xbox One. Make it a Series X/S only game. Yeah i know install base is on the One, but if the game is great, people will upgrade to Series X/S. Build it and they will come.
If you want to play HI on Xbox One, stream it via Xcloud.

The hardcore would appreciate a next gen halo without 2013 hardware constraints, John is right.

But it will never happen with Gamepass as the central strategy for Xbox. If the game didn't come to Xbox one, Xbox one gamepass subscription would go backwards.

Alex huffing and puffing in the background upon Richards suggestion targeting XsX would require a monster pc excluding a large base of pc users.
