You don't have to he's telling you there's a difference.I developed severe eyestrain trying to see a significant difference between the amateur ps5 and the pro.
I really want to see some faceoff of 3rd party releases tbh
Yep. Yep. After FFVIIR the Pro will shine with Helldivers and Space Marine. Any other game is going to be minimal. This is not a good show of the PS5 pro imo. seriously, seriously zoomed in shots and not a huge difference.
The machine is not designed for everyoneI developed severe eyestrain trying to see a significant difference between the amateur ps5 and the pro.

The Last OF Us is a enhanced PS4 game,Rift Apart is a PS5 game that was able to use the feature set of the PS5 from the beginning. Not a huge difference, weird how something like TLOU2 can see a major upgrade but this is more muted
Can't expect devs to go back to their old games and spend a ton of time on them for a tiny portion of the playerbase. Also Insomniac games are already great looking and run well so not much to fix I guess.least impressive PSSR showing
they also need to increase the detail in the pro mode to match the fidelity mode settings
very lazy from insomniac
Try even harder for the differences on PC, maybe 12x zoom will help.I developed severe eyestrain trying to see a significant difference between the amateur ps5 and the pro.
tell that to gamers spending 700 on the proCan't expect devs to go back to their old games and spend a ton of time on them for a tiny portion of the playerbase. Also Insomniac games are already great looking and run well so not much to fix I guess.
Watching on my Nokia 3310, can't see a difference.
If you can't see a difference, you're blind.

IMO even tho it has worse settings than fidelity's mode, it still looks as good or better in motion due to less artifacts in some places. So, the ps5 pro performance mode looks better that the base performance mode and worse than the fidelity mode.
Tell people spending 2K on a 4090 they can play the same games on a 4070 for 500 bucks. You pay more if you want the best performance and it won't look or run 4 times better either.tell that to gamers spending 700 on the pro

In the article Oliver says that Insomniac might add a fidelity mode for the Pro, that's probably the most we can hope for Ratchet.Meh, 3-year-old game with basic-ass addition of PSSR and not much. This is just Insomniac not bothering much because not only are they busy with other projects, but this one probably doesn't make much money anymore.
Kinda boring.
Insomniac already had fantastic upscaling prior to PSSR. However, you can clearly see a lot of those thin lines becomes straight with virtually zero jaggies now. Quite impressive so far.Not a huge difference, weird how something like TLOU2 can see a major upgrade but this is more muted
The biggest improvement on Pro comes down to the way the final image resolves, with PSSR upscaling taking Ratchet from circa 1584p to a full 4K final image versus a 1440p internal res on the base machine (Both modes make use of DRS and use lower-res post processing too). On fine elements of geometry, the difference can be stark, with the Pro resolving cleaner lines with more detail thanks to that higher internal resolution and better upscaling tech.
The performance RT mode features a substantial pass of post-process sharpening to give a greater perception of detail across the image. On PS5 Pro, there's better overall detail, but without the artificial-looking edge ringing and additional breakup often associated with sharpening. According to Insomniac core technology director Mike Fitzgerald, the PSSR technique used on Pro resolves enough detail that the sharpening used on the base PS5 isn't necessary.
"Guys, I can't see the difference"RT reflections also resolve much more cleanly on the Pro console. These reflections had a grainy appearance on the base console, with checkerboard-like patterns sometimes visible in reflective detail. PS5 Pro can look slightly softer than the base console here, but the RT resolve is more stable. There's also much less aliasing in areas like bevelled edges on glossy surfaces and on the borders of glossy materials in general. That results in a more coherent and realistic image, especially with changes to noise and dithering patterns that feed into the RT reflections on PS5 Pro.
It retains all previous modes, but adds a Pro mode - at least that's my understanding.Does the Pro not have a fidelity mode?
Sony could have invested a little of its money to have a game that would demonstrate the power of the PS5 Pro but it seems that not
or maybe concord was the game that was going to show the power of the PS5 Pro?
EXACTLY what I was thinking. Based on this, I'm not seeing any difference. This video is basically everything zoomed like 10 times and slowmo. No one would notice these things playing the game.

I'm very curious to see what AW2 looks like on the pro. I've been holding off for a full year because of that horrendous shimmering on ps5.IMO even tho it has worse settings than fidelity's mode, it still looks as good or better in motion due to less artifacts in some places.
But gotta remember that first party Sony games don't use FSR, so the difference will always be "small", also there's no super demanding Sony game yet this generation, differences on games like ND's ones or Guerrilla next gen games will be bigger
The fun's going to be on all the next gen 3rd party demanding games that use FSR (which is pretty much most if not all nowadays) such as AW 2, guess we have to wait a bit to see these still.
