Add to this that Microsoft does not have a Pro version and you already have the perfect storm

Pro looks much more natural. *natural*If you need to zoom in to see the difference, then you need glasses.
Pro is on the right. Not too good on this one ... still needs work.
Base PS5 has better effects. Hopefully it gets fixed.
I'm also curious to see what Insomniac might do with a PS5 Pro fidelity mode. Mike Fitzgerald from Insomniac hinted in an interview I conducted last month that a fidelity mode with additional RT (like RT shadows or RTAO) could be in the cards for Pro owners.
Part II was on PS3?It's a enhanced version of the Ps5 version that was a remastered version of the PS4 enhanced version that was remastered from the PS3 version.
I think...
it really do be like this tho
Add to this that Microsoft does not have a Pro version and you already have the perfect storm
It’s unlocked already if you have a VRR tv. I think the Pro will shine in these modes.like someone said above. If they let us use Fidelity mode unlocked on PS5 Pro, it will probably reach 60 fps already.
They are just showing the difference for the PSSR.
Not a $700 difference
If you can't see a difference, you're blind.
Is it a $250 difference, though?Not a $700 difference
Yeah I think it will make the world of difference in Uncharted 4 fidelity unlocked, without the need for a Pro patch. It’s unlocked already if you have a VRR tv. I think the Pro will shine in these modes.
Never realized the Pro cost $1200 in the US! Shit’s getting more and more expensive by the day!Not a $700 difference
Disagree. This is what it looks like running on a $0 console. Not a $700 difference
There's no such thing as an objective $700 difference. For some people it's worth the price and for others it's not. The base machine is not going anywhere. Not a $700 difference
Not a $700 difference
I developed severe eyestrain trying to see a significant difference between the amateur ps5 and the pro.
I thought it was just using the perf RT mode with PSSR (same with other Pro updates, using perf modes and making it look as sharp as quality modes).Honestly a pretty underwhelming upgrade, not only is the image quality boost minor but unlike other games its seems to dumb down the graphics setting from the fidelity mood to target 60fps and I feel they could have done a lot more in terms of an rt upgrade.
Yeah and it's missing the wet fur effect.Pro is on the right.
Yeah most games have been using fidelity mode graphics settings or even better targeting 60fps. This game is basically using the lowered graphics settings from performance mode and just using pssr....rather embarrassing lack of effort from a 1st party studio.I thought it was just using the perf RT mode with PSSR (same with other Pro updates, using perf modes and making it look as sharp as quality modes).
I mainly play my games in Fidelity Mode and hope that other developers utilize the PS5 Pro better; otherwise, it would be the biggest waste of money I've ever spentA quality mode guy like me sees zero difference.
Waste of a console
That's just worse quality fur on the left doing that.Yeah and it's missing the wet fur effect.
This video is basically everything zoomed like 10 times and slowmo. No one would notice these things playing the game.
I really want to see some faceoff of 3rd party releases tbh
It's the people that don't want it that seem to have the problem with others wanting it lolI am totally fine and don't blame anyone who may or may not buy into this machine, I get both sides
I think the pro looks better with less pixel artifacts. Lighting too.Not too good on this one ... still needs work.
Base PS5 has better effects. Hopefully it gets fixed.
if you're paying it for this mid game, I would agree. Not a $700 difference
Check that out as well.PS5 Pro Makes Quality, Performance Modes in Dragon Age: The Veilguard Better Than Ever
Better visuals, ray tracing in 60FPS modewww.pushsquare.com
In addition, the PS5 Pro allows "Raytraced Ambient Occlusion (RTAO)" to be enabled in the 60FPS Performance mode, which was previously only possible on the 30FPS Fidelity option. This option won't be available on base PS5, technical director Maciej Kurowski clarifies in a blog post.
Top scar self shadowing.
To be fair viewing on mobile phone here and it's hard to see the difference, sitting on the monitor on the other hand it's fairly clear. If you need to zoom in to see the difference, then you need glasses.
I am totally fine and don't blame anyone who may or may not buy into this machine, I get both sides
Just looks smoothed out. .....ok............
PSRR is fantastic
That's just worse quality fur on the left doing that.
Here's quality mode:
I need glasses then.If you need to zoom in to see the difference, then you need glasses.
Yeah. I,too thought that is weird DLSS wasn't compared to PSSR since the DF crew compare DLSS to PSSR from a trailer vs having seen Sony's form of Uber resolution in person. This is an awful video.
He compares Fidelity mode to PS5 Pro Performance mode except one of these runs at 30 fps.
He also misses an obvious opportunity to compare the game running on a 4070 on PC... I wonder why...
And? The comparison could be both of the PS5 base vs the Pro and PSSR vs DLSS as the PC comparison would be about upscaler from different tech companies.Because it's a Pro video and should be compared to the regular PS5 as that's the comparison that is the most relevant?
What matters is how it stacks up to the PS5 since that's what it's upgraded from.
And that's the focus? The point of the video is to highlight the benefits the Pro brings to this game over the regular PS5. Featuring PC footage wasn't the objective and that's why it wasn't included. They will most definitely do DLSS vs PSSR comparisons in the future, but not with this one. And?
Am I trippin'? Because the images don't look the same even though they supposed to be the same area. I'm not talking about the quality of the reflections, I'm referring to the stuff in the image. The base PS5 looks like it has more stuff while being slightly off in terms of the angle.I mean .. you're kinda proving his point with this.
It's taking a 3X zoomed in image and you still have to pick specific parts of the image to show that there's an improvement. This is barely above PS5/SX comparison differences in this case.
Nope I haven't. Is it missing in the video I linked as well?lol no it isnt.. the DF even says its missing the wet fur effect... have you even played the game?
