Quick, get him 100cc of Diablo 3 Beta, STAT!

That's the problem nurse, he is already ODing on the beta, we need some FFXIII as antidote/tranquilizer

We need the big guns. 20cc of Dragon Age 2 should send him into a light coma for a bit. Just be careful, too much DA2 can turn one into a drooling vegetable.

Dammit, I have an order of DQ-X Online coming soon but it won't make it in time!

Don't you dare die on me Yoshichan!

Ehm your 560 Ti is only about 60-70 percent faster than a hd4850.
Not sure how weak you think a 4850 really is.
It will run the new deus ex at 60 fps, batman AA at 60+ fps, dirt 3 at 50+ fps etc all maxed.

Another sucker/victim of the naming schemes and rebrands from the last 2 gens of graphics cards I guess.

Besides it's a top down view game with mediocre graphics, how demanding could it really be.

60-70 percent faster is a lot. 4850 is just a little bit faster than the 5 year old 8800GT. For it to be considered a high-end card with regards to a particular game is something of note.

And furthermore, the GTX 560 Ti is more like 80-90% faster than the 4850.

So what about this switching stuff from inventory to character by simply pressing right mouse button?
Cause I haven't seen anyone using that if its there..
What about binding spells on Fs or bind them on numbers from 1 to 5, I've seen that bola shot there.

Quick-equipping and replacing gear should be in. Exactly WoW-style.

Binding stuff to number keys is also present. No idea about function keys.

Waiting anxiously for the 7xxx series, I want to upgrade but I can't justify throwing away 300 euros on a fairly petty upgrade atm.
My 4870 costs about 40 euros second hand atm and for a 70 percent upgrade I'd have to pay 7-8 times that + deal with the excessive noise from the current high end cards, not going to happen.
.
I am in the same boat, same card with a 3 year old system but I cant justify upgrading just yet because it would be a small upgrade compared to the price. Any word on when new cards are coming?

I've seen that quick switching in multiple stream/videos, so I know it's in.

Also the 1-5 slots can be used for items and skills but skills can only put in if they are "active" like you have 7 skills and 3 active slots that allows you to either put 3 skills on that skill bar or 1 on left mouse button, one on right mouse button and one in the skill bar...

So it depends on how many active skill slots a player has...

It's not a lot for a 3 year gap and when the 4850 cost half then of what the 560ti costs now.
I only paid 150 euros for a 4870 in august 2008.

Which was the whole point, it's hard to justify the large cost relative to how big the upgrade is, and it's also a capable card still , bf3 was the first game I believe that had recommended specs higher than a 5770 or gtx 260 or 4870 (all exactly the same performance).
So suddenly it has become the new rule, apparently.

Watching that Demon Hunter video.... omfg. I NEEED this. ARGAHsiadsa.

I thought the Demon Hunter was pretty meh, however I changed my mind after watching another player play Witch Doctor - that's some serious AoE ownage. I think I'm gonna main WD now.

Someone finished the beta with a character and he found a 25 DPS Mace + poison.

He put it on the shared stash, created a barbarian and now oneshotting everything... 40-45 white damage and 125 damage crit with a skill.

I hope the weapons will have level requirement later because right now, it's very easy for the second character.

The crafting system looks sweet as hell. Instead of just vendoring trash for useless gold, you can salvage them to improve your vendors. Pretty neat, just hope the top tiers of crafted gear is actually useful.

Also someone tell me the text/font they use for the hover label pop ups on the drops/shrines/chests/doors isn't final. that plain arial or whatever on a black box looks really ghetto contrasted with the rest of the UI. My only complaint with what i've seen so far though.

They mentioned that there are several Artisans that specialize in different fields, depending on what you need. There will also be Recipe Item drops that you can teach your Artisan. I am sure they will have some cool stuff to craft but I still think most of the amazing stuff should be found.

I don't care it's not out yet.

From the list my laptop's card is in the medium range, which is about where I was for SC2. Hopefully this would run a bit better since you'd generally have less stuff on screen than a big SC2 battle. Still hoping to build a PC to blow this and other games out of the water.

And to address the randomization - yeah, it's there, and it's pretty good from what I've seen. I watched parts of at least 3 playthroughs, and you notice different stuff. A storyline door was facing the northeast in one instance, and the northwest in another. Some areas seem to be fixed or mostly fixed, but the bulk of the dungeons themselves are well randomized. I've seen random monsters too - a couple I saw emit damaging electricity on the ground that can be dodged. Another was molten and left a trail of lava over where it walked.

Just watched a DH vid... This is making the wait worse! Quick question, when the DH is using the fan of knives skill it looks like every so often a word pops up over the mobs instead of dmg numbers. I cant read the word on my phone, what is it saying?

You never pimped out you're new characters in diablo 2?

Wizard was my fave so far as well, though I guess that's not surprising since I only played sorceress in D2 and took 5 of them to level 85+.

There are level requirements on items. Not all, but most of the best ones do.

Watching the streams, and i must say i'm very excited for the game.
All the classes make sense now, very impressed with all of them.

Couple of things i'd like to change tho:
- option to remove/fade out the chat button on the left (i find them very irritating for some reason, probably because they are identical to WoW)
- option to resize the minimap
- increase the number of mobs overall (too much downtime, we can't have that, more chop chop!)
- the low health red screen is a bit too much, tone it down a bit
- maybe pull the camera out just a liiiiitle bit more

Can't think of anything else really. Looks great!

So apparently there are different betas cause Day9 said he's in the beta with an NDA or at least he's not allowed to stream.

1) Yeah, or at least give us the option to turn it off.
2) hopefully we can tweak its size and/or opacity.
3) I think the beta only has the basic difficulty, so we can expect the number of mobs to rise with difficulty and number of players
4) Yeah, needs toning down.
5) I wonder if its fixed or if the scroll wheel alters it?

I currently have a Q9450 overclocked to 3.2GHz, from 2.6GHz, 4 GB of DDR2-800 ram and a GTX280, and I'm running Windows 7 64 bit edtion. With those specs, what kind of settings can I expect from the game? Low, Medium, High? And if I need to change the video card, whta would be a decent upgrade?

thanks.

Have you played Diablo II?

Because this was in there too and I think it's a core aspect of Diablo.
