I turned his stream off after about 20seconds, I can't watch him anymore outside his pro casts with all his groaning and camwhoring.

He can be obnoxious, but it's certainly better than some other people (Yogscast was HORRIBLE. Their WoW stuff was tolerable, but barely so.)

And any commentary is better than none at this point - I've seen enough of (mostly) silent streams.

with any luck we will start to see some 60fps footage for those unlucky enough to not render it themselves.

Force has some Barb footage up. time for another wave of beta footage, lets hope the commentary makes it worth watching (the only thing that would, given how much I've already watched)

They are tied to accounts. There are no longer keys that are distributed... I don't think.

no keys, battle.net accounts are simply flagged as having beta credentials. So you would have to sell the whole battle.net account to transfer it.

GAHHHH!!!!!!

Going to watch Force's videos with commentary and sulk. Maybe another future wave? Please Blizzy wizzy? :C

At least we get super high quality videos of people enjoying the beta... D:

I would be more excited for this if I hadn't already seen the entire beta played through by all 5 classes. I can take it or leave it at this point.

Man there's like three graphics options and the AA drop-down box only lists "off" as an option. :(

BUT THIS GAME IS AMAZING OMG

Yup, that stuff is still being worked on. They plan to offer many more options at release.

What's the consensus on the art style now that the game is playable?

I think the art style looks great personally, but I've liked it since they released the barb/WD demo. I do think the textures are a little low for super close up such as the hero selection screen. I'm wondering if the beta isn't using a lower res for the textures in that particular menu, they look pretty rough.

Does the game seem easy from what people have played so far?

I'd expect it to be, it's the very opening of the game. D2 was no different, even when using /set players 8

edit: hey look, a Blue post about difficulty curve:

Blizzard said:
We've talked about this with the development team a good deal. While it's very likely you'll see tweaks here and there to classes and creatures throughout beta, there's still a learning curve of which you're only seeing its miniscule beginning.

The way that difficulty ramps up through an entire play through of the game -- and then again with each difficulty setting -- resource management, crowd control, skill use, etc. become extremely important. As far as beta content goes, we more or less want your grandmother to be able to pick a class and have reasonable success up to the Skeleton King (I mean no disrespect to grandmothers! I'm just using a stereotypical illustration in jest to put some perspective on the learning curve for the beginning of the game.)

So in all honesty, resource management shouldn't be a very big concern on Normal difficulty up to the Skeleton King. We've tried tuning the numbers in various ways around the board. We've found that the gameplay of having to worry or focus too much on resource management while just starting out and on this difficulty setting, is pretty crappy. This isn't World of Warcraft. We want you feeling comfortable wearing down your poor mouse and keyboard.

I really hate to say "don't knock it 'til you've tried it," as I know the response from most people here would be, "well let me friggin' try it!" But the point still stands. We want you to feel pretty good when you're starting out. We don't want you to shy away from spamming your skills and feeling really powerful. You'll actually learn pretty quickly this way how your resources regenerate and how to manage them -- you'll learn what you're capable of. That's what an action RPG is all about to us. That said, and as with all Blizzard games, you'll have to trust me when I say this one is easy to learn, but will be difficult to master.

So how do you know you got access or not? Email from Battle.net or must you login to Battle.net to find out?

popular vote is that battle.net will present the information well before you get an email for it.

Getting an email + it being a game active on your b.net account. I wouldn't worry right now though - don't think it's been distributed to the general public yet.

wait, so my list is useless? D:

Hearing that it is possible that they haven't sent out the mass emails or activated accounts yet (still Press getting their keys/access) gives me hope. It was a bummer of epic proportions when I checked my email and bnet account and had nothing.

Never gotten into a Blizzard beta, plase rectify this Blizzard... This is pretty much the only franchise from them that actually pains me to be excluded from, I can wait for the rest but I *neeeed* me some Diablo goodness asap :'(

Anyone give it run on a 2010 Macbook air yet? Got an 11incher that runs WoW good and it meets the system req. Wonder if it will run (buying it for my PC anyways but it would be cool to run it on both). Kotaku has it running on the newer mba

The 2010 is better for gaming, so yes.
