Oh wow. I've never even thought about what to name my Monk. I wonder if they'll use the same naming convention used in SC2. i.e. you can basically have 1000 people with the same screen name, but their 3-digit identifier code is unique?

Don't feel like looking it up, but it has been confirmed that it will be like SC2.

Yeah, but they are delaying the inevitable revelation by saying that it is temporary stats only. They might be temporary stats, or non-final, but that does not guarantee that affixes missed by the D2-fans will get in anyway.

To the person asking about the i5-2520 and HD3000, the beta client at it's lowest current settings (not as low as the final game I believe and likely less optimized) and native 1366x768 resolution ran the game with a screen entirely full of zombies at ~25fps, though I have a feeling that graphical effects might bring it down a bit.

Regardless, seems like it'll be playable, though it remains to be seen how crazy inferno difficulty can get and if this can handle whatever comes in that at playable framerates.

As far as character names, right now I'm leaning towards:

Drifter and Luna for Male/Female Demon Hunters
Zahid or Khan and Lei for Male/Female Monks
Tessai for Male Wizard
Thorne for Male Barbarian
Naki or Nakisisa for Male Witch Doctor

They may change, who knows, that's just what my Beta character names are for right now.

Armor gives you raw physical damage mitigation by a straight (or relative, if mob levels come into the equation) percentage increase, and Defense decreases all damage taken, if I remember correctly from what Blizz told us. Someone already in the beta might answer it better.

Also, I dreamed that Diablo 3 got released. And we all played it. And I actually completed the Normal mode, and when trying to start the Nightmare one, IT DISCONNECTED! AND I COULD NOT LOG BACK! OMG, THE PAIN.

I know Belial (Lord of Lies] and Azmodan (Lord of Sin) but we have already plow our way through the baddest of them all, Mephisto, Diablo and Baal so anything beyond that it feels like a step backwards. At least the badass level of it. I could assume that at least Diablo is back in some form from all the art work

Well since the Worldstone was destroyed, the Burning Hells (and the High Heavens) are spilling over to Sanctuary. Diablo and Mephisto were banished and their soulstones smashed, but the soulstones don't really matter now that the Worldstone is gone.
Since Diablo is back, there's a good chance the rest of them wormed their way in. Maybe for expansions?

I have a friend who is neither F&F or press who claims to have gotten an invite. I haven't seen him on yet, so I'm not sure if he just saw a phishing scam email or what. Going to ask more about it as he hasn't be online on the beta yet.

Really enjoyed this part of the first act, shame its so short but atleast you can try all classes easily. They made some really good changes to the system surrounding gameplay which is superb. I am curious how the rune system will look considering you get all skills till level 30.

I just upgraded my E8600 3.33GHz and 4GB 1066mhz ram with a MSI p67a-gd55 motherboard, a i5-2500k OCed at 4.5GHZ and 8GB 1600mhz. It is SOOO FAST! I found that my old processor was bottlenecking my 4870x2. Before the upgrades I was getting 25-30 FPS on Borderlands (max settings) and now I'm getting 55-60. =D

I thought about just using my existing CM Centurion case with my Corsair HX 520 modular PSU and GTX 560ti that is still performing very well and upgrading from my E8500, 4 GB 1066 but I am not going to be buying any more game consoles so a PC with the ability to run SLI or XFire in the future is making more sense. I also don't have a 1080p monitor.
