Nah, not through GAF, contacted them as a VG journalist. Will still try and contribute in case the friend invite after 24 hours becomes available.

I want to like that game. I really do. But I just cannot stand the pacing and how they programmed their action bar to work. By the end of act 1 I just despised the game and uninstalled.

Biggest waste of $20 ever.

For me it was the setting, Diablo has this fantastic gothic world going on, Torchlight even has a charming art direction that gives it a feel I could get with.

Titan Quest just never grabbed me that way, not a fan of mythology or the fact your character is essentially in sandals and a diaper for the first 10 hours until you get some armour with any kind of visual style.

Don't worry, you're not the only one who hasn't got in yet, my battle.net account page is still undisturbed by a Diablo 3 entry and my email inbox is devoid of Blizzard mails that aren't about BlizzCon or the Foo Fighters or whatever.
 
BTW, Francis videos are real. He's always been like that, you guys must have missed the one where his account got hacked and he went ape crazy/crybaby mode. Then the following video when Blizzard hooked him up.

Except he has two youtube accounts, one where he goes batshit insane about everything and other where he is a normal human being talking about the same things.

I pretty much agree with this. While I love Greek mythology, the world and the atmosphere didn't really capture me. The game starts off a little slow because you don't feel like you're using your 'spec' until several levels in. It also looks a bit homogenious because everybody looks the same.

Being able to make your own spec combination was fun though, even if it is unbalanced.
 
It was fun, although the zombies got old pretty quickly. Pro-tip - don't make your first game a public one, because people will come and there goes your enjoying the dungeons at your own pace.

Every time I see somebody get into beta, I get a little more angrier. It's not like anybody is going to give any real new feedback. So why not just let us all in and stress test it.

I guess it's a trickle and not a stream because they want to flesh out some bugs first - ah isn't that good right now as far as I heard for example.

No reason to allow that much more testers in if you have enough bugs to fix already...
 
I am happy I have Dark Souls to keep me busy so I don't think of the beta. I'm going to check my account once a week from here on out. My brand spanking new PC would love to play D3 beta though :(

edit: A kind soul has smiled upon me! I should have it within the week :D :D :D
