After a 2 and a 1/2 hour install (from the disc, no less) I finally get to fire her up and after an amazing intro cutscene I get error75 and I can't log in. Damn it, gaming, why's it always got to be like this?

I just got the same problem as someone posted earlier; all of a sudden the level wouldn't continue, I couldn't pick up new items or change items in my inventory, and menu items like leave and quit wouldn't respond anymore. A little while later Diablo 3 crashed and when I start it up again the login is stuck on "authenticicating credentials" (but that's probably because the servers are getting hammered). I don't like 'always online' :(

The Wizard's Ray of Frost is pretty strong...does quite a fair bit of damage!

This game is gonna own my soul....

Any tips on how to get it to download faster? I' also curious what other people's experience is, I'm currently rockingt 17.2 kb/s but have gotten as high 40 consistently. At first it'll burst 1-2MB/s but that only lasts for a few seconds.

Took me around 8 hours to clear Act 1 on my barbarian. Didnt miss a thing.

This game is so damn good. The Act 2 cutscene gave me a nerdgasm.

Time for some sleep.

Thats just crazy that we still have to do a download even when having the retail disc. I mean I would have bought the box either way, but I have no idea why the full game minus a day one patch, wasnt on the disc.

Yeah, there were notifications in the beta for every achievement, iirc. Not getting a popup about unlocking one isn't a huge deal, but it would be nice to see. Maybe it's a server issue at Blizzard?

Diablo 3 completed on normal, aww yeah. based on the time I've played on my demon hunter, it took 15 hours and 11 minutes for those that want to know about game length. I listened to quest npc and listened to any lore tomes I found.

For those having problem installing the disc, I saw this on battle.net forums:

Hi.
I had the same problem.
Here is what worked for me:

1. install downloader from your battle.net account

(EU GB in my case)

http://eu.media.battle.net.edgesuit...c-c232-125a62c76658/Diablo-III-Setup-enGB.exe

2. run downloader and choose the folder where to save the diablo 3 files

3. exit downloader

4. copy files:
Installer Tome 1.MPQE
Installer Tome 2.MPQE
Installer Tome 3.MPQE
from Diablo 3 DVD to the folder from point 2.

5. run downloader again
after checking files it will download the rest - just few MB and I was able to install the game

Really confused here.

Was in an early area
sleeping hollow
explore the map, and find an underground passage, clear the first floor and find a second. I wanted to take a quick break so I logged out.

Come back on and the map is unexplored, when I re-explore it, there is no underground passage/dungeon?


Is this a diablo thing? Just not sure what I did wrong to be honest.

STR - Barb
DEX - Monk, DH
INT - Wizard, WD

Weapon type doesn't really matter as far as I know.

Now that the servers are down... I finally read read some of the comments on Eurogamer/Feber :lol oh Internet.

It's randomized each time.

If you already downloaded and installed the game via the online installer, why are you even inserting the disc? Can't you just enter your cdkey on blizzard?

So, who else plays a DH here?

I feel like rapidfire and strafe are utter ... crap. Rapid fire might work if you you are using smoke screen before, but even then ... your standing still for such a long time. Not goood.
