You kidding me ?? servers are going down already ??? =(

Just got home from work. Why, Blizzard, Why??

Edit: Should I sit in this queue or cancel and try again?

Normal looting all the way. Put up some worthless junk on AH just to see if somebody would buy it. :P

hehe yeah I plan on doing that to see what I can squeeze out.

I don't know about anybody else but the stuff I posted on the AH earlier today has disappeared, but there is stuff to buy. Prices ATM seem to be in line with what they would cost from a vendor.

I don't really see the reason to even open the auction house until level 50+, anything you buy you will outgrow pretty quickly unless you've had really bad drops.

Reason I asked is because I just read this PC gamer write-up where he mentions that he bought an axe off the AH and didn't find a better weap till after about an hour, and recommended ignoring the AH because it was trivializing loot drops for him.

I was gonna basically ignore it anyway, at least the buying portion of it, since part of the fun in these games is stumbling upon nice unexpected drops. Just curious what other people's experiences were with the AH so far.

Sucks, but gives me time to play some Ascension (and practice my Neuroshima Hex skills;).

Haha wow servers won't be up again till 6:30 PM EST? Guess it makes it less a deal that the UPS guy hasn't arrived at my place yet. :P

Oh hell YEAH! Grats man, lucky as hell. We get a feat of strength for installing the CE too, I noticed it when I logged in. I'm wearing the all white dye on all of my equipment with the Tyrael wings. Corny as hell but I don't care lol.

can you take a cropped screenshot of your character? thanks

Gym soon, home in 2 hours. I'm praying I can just get home and log in and that's that.

I'm fixing to make this game my bitch tonight!

WTF, people are in a queu. i'm glad i did not buy it, maaaaannnn and i really want to play this game....

ill wait when there is a offline mode.

Wake up from afternoon nap. Expect maintenance to be over. But little did I know I would miss the hour of up time. lolol

Will it actually be an hour this time, or a Blizzard Hour?

Damn, and I had just gotten back in.

In other news: 5 stacks of Soul Harvest = God Mode. Critting for over 300 with Dire Bats at level 12.

You can fake the server load, but that stuff never works out. The reason this keeps happening with every single game that connects to the internet isn't because developers network engineers are incompetent its because this kind of thing is inevitable.

I dunno, Xbox Live seems to hold up pretty well. During CoD launch I don't remember it going down. Steam also hit a peak of 5 million concurrent users some time ago and didn't skip a beat. Not to say either service hasn't had issues, but generally any outages are fixed very quickly.

It's also not like this is Blizzard's first online game, hell they run an MMO. I'm sticking with incompetence in this case.

The issues here remind me of when Minecraft started getting popular, login servers were constantly buckling under load. But the difference was Mojang is a small studio and they didn't have experience scaling to a massive amount of users, so completely understandable. Blizzard on the other hand...

MOAR Servers Blizzard. MOAR.

Don't even want to think how bad it's going to be once all the working people arrive home. It will be a total service meltdown. Prepare for the floodgates of nerd rage are about to descend upon us.

People are getting off work I guess. I made the mistake of logging out of a game once, and had to sit in the queue for quite a while.

Yeah, I logged off like idiot this morning around 11:00 am PST. Haven't been able to get back in since. But then again I'm stuck with starter edition until my LE arrives tonight. But I still want to screw around with other classes...

Played for an hour and a half before my server was disconnected. The game is a shit ton of fun but I shouldn't have to worry about being disconnected in a damn single-player game.

I agree with you and the PC Gamer guy. I'm not even going to view the auction house till I beat the game on normal.

The particularly rough thing about this downtime is people on the East Coast are just getting off work. I can imagine many arriving home around now or quite soon and being pissed that they can't play the game they've been looking forward to all day.
