My DH a couple chapters into Act 2. Looking cool already! I love this class.
Where are you getting those dye colors? :( I tried to dye something blue and it came out sky blue.

Despite all the talk beforehand, I see very few impressions of the Barbarian gameplay. I still can't decide on what to roll first once I start.

Beat normal at 5 am last night with my Wizard. Coop is just insanely fun. This is probably the most fun I've had playing any videogame in years.

So my WoW account is lapsed but I've purchased Diablo 3. How do I make it where I can post on the Diablo 3 stuff? It keeps telling me my account is lapsed since my online presence is tied to my WoW character Meier.

Will my Diablo 3 heroes ever show up online as well so I can switch to him?

At what level would you say you have a fairly good idea of what a class has to offer?

I'm still unsure and due to all the outages, I was only able to play the first few levels with Wizard and Monk last night, but I'm wondering about what level the characters start to get their feel?

Man this game is good. Having more fun with my level 22 Witch Doctor than any high level class I ever played in D2. Just so much fun.

So there's a thing you can buy to cancel the dye right? I saw my first dye vendor last night but he only had 2-3 colors and no canceling...thing... I didn't want to risk it if I don't have a way to go back to the original color lol.

If there actually is a mechanic that rewards you for not going back to town, that would change my opinion. But, until then, I will collect EVERYTHING.

Something about the phrase "legendary pants" sums up what is so great about this game.

Reminds me of a rant by some random person about the ridiculosity of being able to name your own character in an MMO/RPG game. I want everyone to reference me as "Lolpants", especially with my Savior of the World title.

been stuck at lvl 52 for (what seems to be) ages now :lol

so fucking hard, hahahaha

How does using two weapons with a monk work? do you get double the attacks, or is the dps just the average between the two and you don't get extra attacks? If that's the case isn't one weapon and a shield better?

It is pretty funny though. They've clearly tried to make the game more newbie-friendly in a variety of ways but the goofy things they did with things like weapon damage are probably just going to confuse people more than not. :P

Stuff like weapon damage feeding directly into spell damage - and without you ever using that weapon at all - is incredibly counter-intuitive even for people who have been playing RPGs for a long time.

I don't think that's a newbie thing. That's purely because of the focus on after-60 content. How else would your spell damage ramp up after you can't level anymore?

Are you supposed to use your class specific weapons? I finally found some magic knuckles, but they're not as good as what I'm already using? Is there some kind of monk bonus for using knuckles?

Also, if you're playing co-op with a friend, and then play by yourself later, can you still join up with each other, despite being at different points?

How ate the American servers today? Because of all the maintenance I havnt been able to play a lot. I hope I can go home from work and play :(

I would say at least take a class to 10, and preferably 15, based on what I have seen so far. At that point you should have a pretty good idea what a class is all about.

If at any point you're unsure about if you should stick it out a few more levels or try something else, check the game guide on the website, all classes have a progression list that shows you what you will get every level.

I snuck home an hour ago to check the auction house and grab another quick level on my DH, things seemed nice and smooth. Lotta people probably out working right now though, so who knows what it'll be like in 3-5 hours when the masses get home from their jobs and log on.

It's so good visiting old areas or exploring environments you've already been to, I found this new dungeon that wasn't there before I'm sure, or who knows, none the less, I got like 50 magic items in that one place lol. I also visited another older area and saw a new quest, a quick couple thousand XP.

Love the randomly generated stuff. Definitely worth re-exploring areas to find items and stuff.

Dual Wielding gives you 15% Increased Attack Speed. Other than that, yes, you merely alternate attacking between the two of them.

No bonus for using them. They just are more tailored towards Monk stats. Think of Fists and Daibos as just having a greater chance of being good for you than any random weapon.

Are you sure about that? In D2 there was an attack speed bonus for using the class-specific weapons, afaik. If there isn't in D3 there really should be.
