Well, I'm loving it! <3.

I was really excited to pick up Tera and wanted to try the DayZ mod pretty badly, but after spending about 5 hours yesterday playing this game. I've decided to forgo both of them and just stick with this. There are definitely a few gripes though, but I think I've found my summer game. Though I'm still going pick up a few things from the summer sale. Heh.

Recovering the 2nd sword piece and level 11 Wizard.

You're invulnerable during it, and you get a speed buff on top of it. It is basically one of two very good "get out of jail free" cards the Witch Doctor gets.

That fight with
Belial
where he basically spams the entire floor of the arena is infinitely easier with Spirit Walk.

As far as dogs go you don't even need to bind that specific skill to have dogs. Instead charm things right before they die and you'll get a free set of dogs.

You can also rune it to regen your mana. So you can spam a high cost aoe spell go into spirit walk to escape the remaining enemies and regen your mana.

Fearless leader. So Legendary. When did you first start to see these types of items drop?
Legendaries? Seem them through all difficulties :3

I love the sound in this game - until last night I have been playing this game through the speakers when my wife told me to turn it down - so I decided to put my headphones on and turn it up a little oh man the sounds so good will be the only way to play from now on.

I can't wait for all the bitching about lag in a single player game to end.

Neither can I - for when the devs fix it.

The reason you are seeing this thought expressed so many times is because it is that bad.

So I say let 'em bitch, this shit should not happen again.

No reason Bliz had to insist on an always-on connection, I don't buy the game design excuses. Demon's Souls pulled it off, they could have as well if they wanted to.

So you can login right now? cuz my ass is getting blueballed by error 3003

you guys think you have it bad in the US, try being Australia, at least your servers are in the same continent

I'm at work, I'll find out if I can play later.

I'm in Europe, but I used to live in NZ. Pro's and cons :)

I'm not sure if I just have godly gear for my level or if my party members have shitty gear, but I find it strange that I'm at ~250 damage (critting for like 380-400 even with my arrow-spread spell, hitting 5+ enemies every time) on my demon hunter while the second highest in my party is at ~120. I'm level 23 at the moment. Is the demon hunter supposed to be doing that much more damage than the other classes or is it just overpowered? Because it's not like I have less survivability than the berserker or monk - I'm at equal armor and just below them in life.

I sure these have been answered before but this thread just moves too fast.

Crafting:
I've been breaking down almost all of my magical items to this point (still in Act 1) and investing much of my gold into leveling the blacksmith. Before I continue on with this strategy, is this the way to go? I imagine anything rare is better sold on the AH but I've only had one rare drop, and I'm using that item.

Latency:
I'm curious if Blizzard has commented on the latency issue and whether they are actively working to fix it or are they just going to let things calm down on their own as the server activity stabilizes. Last night got kind of crazy with 600ms+ latency at times.

You must have godly gear because I'm level 25 and I'm about 130 damage on my DH and that's two semi-recent yellow weapons.

Yeah I was curious how SH would fare at higher difficulties. What about combo'ing it with Spirit Walk to escape mob groups?

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#fSYTdU!bWU!YZbaZZ - the build I run currently. Swap zombie dogs for mass confusion as you see fit, I prefer the 10% damage reduction personally.

I do use spirit walk as a CD to keep Vision Quest up as well as for the 30% mana from the rune, but almost never as an actual escape mechanism.

I actually use Soul Harvest more as heal now than I do for the intelligence buff. Extremely essential in the sub 40's to keep your DPS up, but the intelligence on items will soon enough begin to quickly outstrip the intellect offered by SH, making it less necessary for DPS. I still use it as CD to keep Vision Quest up, but running into a group to try and get a 5 stack SH is almost certain death, I just blow it everytime it's up on whatevers the closest that won't gib me.

I'm actually using spirit walk run into mobs and using Soul Harvest and hoping the damage I receive doesn't get rid of it immediately. I'm only in normal but I had feared that this strategy wouldn't be as effective in higher difficulties. I'll just have fun with it for now since Soul Harvest - Grasp of Dead - Firebats kills so fast.

I've been doing this too, but haven't had any luck with the auction house. I think it might just be so over-saturated right now, and most people are just playing through the game. Unless you have an obscenely nice rare your item probably isn't going to sell.

Delayed another hour? Do you guys mean until 8:00am PDT? Because they announced the 2 hours maintenance like 3 or 4 hours ago.

I think just until 7:00 PDT.

When I tried logging in an hour ago, the little "Breaking News" on the side of the screen said they would be complete at 6:00 PDT, now it's saying 7:00.

Wanted to play this morning, oh hey, another maintenance! Man this game, feels like an MMO without actually being an MMO.

Was SC II launch this rocky? Don't remember.

FYI people, check the login screen. All the info is always there about upcoming scheduled maintenance times and updates.

This current one has been advertised as happening for a while, if memory serves me correct.

I'm sure they're ignoring all the issues, since they want to enrage their entire player base.

I'm not saying it isn't annoying. I'm not saying they shouldn't have done a better job to prepare for the launch. All I'm saying is that once they fix things up, we probably won't hear another peep about how shitty this always online stuff is. In the future it will probably be welcomed to allow them to have better control over the game.

It's ok to badmouth Blizzard, they won't ban your account.

I work full time and have an hour commute both ways, so my play time has been really limited. So far I haven't had a single issue and the game has been incredibly fun. Why would I bitch?

I think it's good to keep levelling the BS, but if you go overboard you will only get to craft items that are a higher level than yourself which is not beneficial for perhaps another hour or three of levelling.

Might want to spend some money actually crafting. Craft 5 of the same item, pick the best one (seriously, there are drastic differences in crafting the same item 5 times) and break down the other 4.

For the Crafting, I've been doing the same thing except I also break down most of my rares (unless I want to use it of course). I've put two on the AH for fun but the market is so flooded with low level Rares right now that they most probably won't sell. I've gotten maybe 10-12 rares so far (one boss down in Act 2) and I d/e most of them. Too bad they don't give you more mats than blues tho....that's kinda stupid. You get the tooth thing (forgot the exact name) but they should give you 2-3 of the other thing.

Anyway, you'll need all the mats you can find when you want to create the higher level items near the end of the act.

I created two 1H Axe for my level 20 (I think it was 20) Barb and they are far superior than anything that dropped so far.

Not even close. But then again the game was for all intents and purposes released for 6 months prior to the actual release during the "closed" beta.

That's really weird, I haven't thought of my gear as that great. Then again I do have 248 dexterity, many of my items have +3-6 damage, and my bow is 35 dps with 9-41 damage.

Are the various "Events" you run across randomized or in set areas?

Looks like a solid build. And yeah Vision Quest seems incredible. Should be able to soothe the WD's later-game mana woes quite nicely along with Spirit Walk + Honored Guest.

From my experience the +damage modifiers make a much bigger difference early on since str/int/etc affect your damage by a %, and your stats aren't high enough to take a (worthwhile) benefit.

I'm actually thinking the +damage ones are bugged. With my amulet giving +3-6 damage I have 255 damage, without it I have 225. What is the deal with that?

Wtf...I had seen exactly zero legendaries drop, and I am halfway through Nightmare.

Same here. I have not seen a single legendary and I am at the beginning of Act on Nightmare.

Are you looking at Attack or DPS? because per second it might work out that way.
