Digital Foundry are lying about Demon's Souls not being 4K, and hiding Halo being 1440p.

Let's expose those pseudo so-called "experts" at DF:

Use your eyes, trust your eyes. I'll use 2 screenshots, one is claimed by DF to be native 4K (Halo Infinite), and another claimed to be 1440p with no evidence but BS (Demon's Souls), and will chop the screenshot:

Demon's Souls:

Looks like it's 4K at Demon's Souls and 1440p on Halo, yet Alex didn't see anything wrong but "lighting".

PC 4K screenshot from official Rockstar trailer for reference (Link) There are artifacts that might suggest image reconstruction here on RDR2 though, the scene was static so it's not video artifacts.

Why DS is having more pixels, smaller? It's either DS is 8K or Halo is 1440p but DF were too tired to acknowledge!

How the fuck did they come up with 1440p? And they can't see RT now? Well, explain this:

So you saying they are out and out lying then? Not that one games assists maybe better than another's

The light casted by the sword slash in the last screenshot doesn't need to be raycasted. There are tons of games that did that before ray tracing was in everyone's mouth

Quick! Somebody drag the DF guys from their homes and burn them at the stake. The you-know-who warriors are upset (again)

With upsampling, it will be hard to get a accurate pixel count, but I found an area in the Demon Souls snap you posted that does not have a contiguous line.

It seems to sample every 1.5 lines.

Also a scene in a video being static does not mean it doesn't have compression artifacts.

If demon souls is 1440p, and halo 4k

It wouldnt make a difference, demon souls looks 'infinitely' better anyway

Good, I wanted this to be seen by xbox trolls like the ones above. Now they are in denial phase, but they'll get through it.
What are you even trying to say? A two second look at Digital Foundry's video says that the game has two modes, 1440p at 60fps and 4k at 30fps.

Can you point me to the part of your post that proves, not only that they're wrong, but that it's a deliberate lie?

Bo you know your my bro, but what am I looking at here?

View it through a big enough screen, and notice the pixel density between DS vs RDR2 PC being both the same (with artifacts on RDR2 probably from DLSS?) and how big the pixels are on Halo.

I'm using the 4K@60fps sources, performance mode:

And Halo official so-called up to 4K@60fps trailer:

Well, that's because Demon Souls is Next-Gen and Halo is lastgen

I asked a simple question. DF says the game runs in two modes, 1440/60 and 4K/30. Please explain how you've proved that to be both wrong and a deliberate lie. Don't link me to a video of the game and say 'See! Look, just like I said!'

You've accused them of a deliberate falsehood.

Back it up or shut TF up.

Where are their proof? And that's official trailer vs RDR2 official 4K trailer as well. No need to be a genius to see the similarity in pixel density, while it's half of that on Halo.

It's very clear that you don't have to be a genius to come to the conclusion you did.

This Zenimax purchase has really pushed some folks off the edge. Full meltdown mode at this point.

They already said the asset quality and overall picture was really high and it was hard to pixel count, Halo Infinite isn't really a good example to compare it with.

They continuously say Halo is native 4K@60fps, yet they come up with 1440p shit for DS while in reality it's not.
