Uh... Just had a crash that ruined a bunch of my progress on the Lilo and Stitch stuff. Wow.
Oof, that sucks

Also, can you still visit people's cafes online? I think she was struggling figuring that out.
Not in this one. At 19 Stickers you get access to the Hot Air Balloon for Streetpass/Spotpass and Player Cards. Everyone should do that quickly (assuming you're playing in real time) because there's a Halloween event going on until the 31st.
You can get 5 new people every 6 hours and they give Streepass currency and Seasonal event currency for use in McDuck's shop.
I'm looking forward to spending more time with it. BTW, anyone know how long until I unlock the Frozen world? I couldn't seem to find an answer online.
I can already tell some stickers are going to be a pain in the ass for me. The 200m surfing one is going to be tough. Maybe I'm just not doing it right but I can't get anywhere close to that. The perfects in the rainbow mine again I could probably just get good so to speak but it may be tough. I think my high is 3 perfects.
Also getting 2000 Nice in a single dream and the hint is telling me I can string together more than one at a time?
Does this game have an actual "ending" to unlock and view? I'm guessing each world has some sort of conclusion thing.
I like that the button prompts match the color of the New 3DS/Super Famicom buttons.
This is a very specific question, but...
Has anyone been able to compare performance on the N3DS compared to the OG 3DS? I have an OG XL and I really, really want this game, but I may wait and upgrade to a N3DS if there are significant performance / frame rate improvements. I don't think the frame rates will bother me too much, but I'd rather play the game in its best possible state.
In other news: I never played the original, and I'm really excited about this. I fully intended to use this month's gaming budget on Thumper, but I may have to splurge on this instead. Are you guys still as enthused about it having spent hours with the game as you were right at launch?
I have (or rather my family has) older 3DSes, but I haven't tested it in them yet. It doesn't seem like the game is optimized to run better on the New. It doesn't skip too badly unless there is a ton of stuff on screen, but it does feel like you're trying to move through molasses. Ironically, the swimming dungeons are the only place where the motion finally feels smooth. I can test OG vs. New later today and get back to you on this. This is a very specific question, but...

This game series is a weird thing. You have to be a very certain kind of gamer to get the bug for it...
I just want something charming, stylish and addictive right now.
Just ran around the town on the oldest 3DS model I have & it feels about the same. So there's no added chip usage for the New to make things smoother, you should get about equal performance with the two different systems.
Just watching the credits now.
After it lets me save again, I'll test it on the OG 3DS and see if there is any difference.

Awesome, thanks for following through with that. I saw you "completed" the game? What does that mean in DMW2, and what is the post-game like? I know if it's like AC:NL then you don't really ever complete the game, but I'm just curious what your goals are / what the draw is now? Still getting a feel for the series.
If you managed that this soon the game must be much easier than the original game.
I'm trying to get to 100 stickers on it and so many food and clothing recipes have super-obscure ingredients.
There's two different unlockable Sticker Books with 15 Stickers each, for 30 post-game Stickers, bringing the total to 130. Much harder challenges to get those Stickers. There's also a Collection Book that displays a percentage of how much you've collected, if you like filling out that kind of thing.
"Completing" the game in DMW2 involves just getting the first 100 Stickers to see the Staff Credits. Many sim games have a "credits roll" ending after a set goal, but you can theoretically play forever.
Perspective:
I have about 110 hours total on the first one, no clue how much longer I will play before I feel satisfied, but I am going a lot slower now and taking more breaks.
Thanks for the grats, guys. As you can see, I have to play a game like a full-time job to be able to 'beat' it. Much to my chagrin.
Hey, back again guys. Another question from my lady: on episode 11 of the 100 acre wood, does anyone remember where to get cookie barley? Cheers!
For those 100 stickers, did you find yourself having to utilize a lot of the garden and town/location pickups? I hate walking around and picking all that shit up every time I visit a loction.
Also, unrelated to DMW2, are you aware of what stuff was "missed" in DMW1? I know there was at least one set of clothes that were a timed exclusive, but if everything else is obtainable, I may start playing it again since I love this series so much.
Unlock the Alice in Wonderland world. If I recall correctly, it opened up after I'd done a few of The Little Mermaid's Episodes.
There are several quests like this; you must take the recipe to Daisy's Boutique and craft the item.Anyone know where to get the apple lamp for Sleepy?
Combat is incredibly clunky to an almost frustrating degree. Using your MP attack and you just randomly face a different direction and spam it to hit nothing. If there are more than maybe 3 or 4 ghosts on screen forget it. And then there are certain ghosts that body you and you can easily just get stuck in a corner and not even your spin move can help you. I've died a couple times just getting trapped and being unable to move. Game is very fun but I feel like combat could be refined and made much better. Sometimes the hardest part of a challenge or a boss fight is actually being able to target the boss the whole time to keep damaging it.
Don't forget about your A button attack spam, either. You can chain 4 hits which ends with an AOE ranged attack. It isn't the greatest and doesn't guarantee Stars to refill MP the way using the charged attack does, but some bosses are actually easier if you zap them with continual A spam, most notably the Ice immune ones in Arendelle. Especially the twoCombat is clunky I agree. But don't forget that you can hit R to invul dodge through enemies and such.
I have all of the normal wands, each world's set has the same special attack. For example, all the Wonderland wands do the swirling doom attack (same attack as the first game since that is the only repeating combat world). Little Mermaid has a Bubble attack which you can redirect while shooting, Hawaii (Lilo & Stitch) has a straightforward AoE cone, and Arendelle (Frozen) has a freezing attack which lets you play billiards with the enemies.I haven't had as much time to play lately. Do the other wands have different special attacks like in the first game?
Made it to 100 stickers last night; immediately got 7 more. I'm at 111 now. Just maxed out my cafe!!
Congratulations, Linkura!
More items/knowledge courtesy of AENIGMA01:
It seems like whoever is running the NA website for the game uploaded a bunch of the upcoming QR codes. Just replace the number before .png, there are a total of 10 images so far. Note that there are even more items in the Japanese version, so this might not be all of them.
I tried the surfing one and was having trouble. The problem is the waves die down way too fast. My record is 379, so I'm very close to the 400 needed. Hopefully a charm pops up for that to make it easier.
