I already own this game, can I play through the whole campaign already and they are only polishing up the rest or should I wait for release for the full content?

I think not everything is in there yet. Bu polishing I believe they also meant adding music and VOs for example. So it depends on what you consider "the full content".

Dungeons, story, beating the end boss, but someone else said its only about 25% currently, so I'll wait.

Awww still two full months, hoped it would come out sooner.

I'm going to buy it when it's out.
For the drm-less version is it available on their website? gog?
Will it be full drm-less or have a system like Age of Wonders 3? (I'd go with the steam version at that point)

I don't know if I am playing this right but me and my friend keeps wandering into things that outright murder us just outside the city. Are quests supposed to be done in a certain order?

Haven't played past the starting area. But I've heard that certain areas early on have higher levels.

I hope they adjust the durability again. It was too high in the alpha , but now the durability is a bit too low.

Edit: I'll add the update to the OP when I get access to a proper computer. Thanks Zodd!

Dammit. 2 weeks before the baby is due. I will not be playing this at release :( Oh well. Something to look forward to when he starts sleeping through the night.

Excellent, only briefly played through the current builds since the kickstarter, looking forward to playing the final product. I noticed a real leap in Larian's writing quality in Dragon Commander so I'm really excited to play this.

Have they mentioned a timescale for releasing the editor yet?

In todays update:

As for the editor, it's certainly ready (we made the game with it after all), but at the same time, it’ll never be ready enough; the capacity for improving and expanding it are endless, after all.

We’ll therefore release it in beta form, and probably keep it that way for quite some time. A lot of you have been mailing us privately about it, and it’s not that we don’t want to make it available to you right now, but we need all our attention on the game for the moment. The moment there’s some free room, we’ll make it available.

Think we managed to find a place with some equal level enemies that was a bit easier to kill (until one of them blasted 60 HP in one burst off my knight).

Yeah, your not the only one that's mention about the difficulty/imbalance with the gameplay. They've posted in threads about the balancing issues. In this update they've added difficulty settings and mentioned that they'll be balancing chances in the upcoming month.

Anyways something interesting to read from Swen about there journey through Kickstarter and the upcoming release:

Also forgot to mention that in the latest update video they show off the Mac version running well.

Sorry for the double post. The Larian dev are in the World Chat in-game if you want to talk to them. Also surprise by how much the starting area looks different now.

Still stuck on mobile. I hope someone records the conversations ( I assume Stabbey will.)

Awesome update!

This is seriously one of my most awaited RPGs this year and I can't wait to dive into it already.
The progress they've made (especially from the alpha build to the beta build) is really impressing and I'm glad that they've finally the time and money to release games when they feel that they're ready and not when a publisher dictates them.

Just watched the latest dev video ( http://youtu.be/QpGreHdZgOg )

This might very well be the best PC RPG ever made. At least since Ultima VII.

Seriously, why is the internet not talking about this game? I'm pretty confident it will blow franchises like Dragon Age en maybe even The Witcher out of the water, gameplay wise.

holy shit it really does look like a new game after the kickstarter updates. currently trying so hard to bypass time till this gem will be released.

Probably because it's PC exclusive, Divinity is not a well known franchine and its marketing budget is tiny compared to those games.

Yeah, it's a shame that no one talks about this game.

After playing the beta I must say I'm impressed. The only problem I have is that the inventory is a mess after you sell loot, but a sort button should come soon.

have they allowed you to pick your skills yet? I bought the game but couldn't find out if that was in.

I could never get a healer that I wanted with their premade classes.

Probably waiting for the final release to play the game. Only played the beginning area myself. Hopefully when it gets reviewed well, I'll get more attention as well. Anyways with the game still 8 weeks away we should get at least another 2 big updates to the game.

If someone wants to mess around a little, add me on steam, same username ;)
But be warned, my english is even worse than you think.

Considering Dark Souls 2 has dropped the ball (still good but not DS1 great), it's main competition will be Pillars of Eternity (assuming it doesn't get delayed 2015) or Dragon Age: Inquisition (Bioware may fuck up again). The Witcher 3 was delayed to next year. As for Wasteland 2 well.... let's say they'll need more time to make needed improvements on it.

Is it possible to make a divine focused character? As a Cleric you start with a skill called Divine Light, but no skill books so far that I have found is further related to this and nothing in the character sheet seem to have a focus on it either.

I've played the beta for a bit and holy shit has it improved!

Yeah, played co-op last night.

Game fucking owns. The banter between player characters and the rock-paper-scissors system they have for decision making is so well thought out. You never feel like you're just tagging along on someone else's adventure.

It's a very pretty game too.

I was really surprised by how much better it looks and runs now, the tutorial dungeon is so pretty.

June 20th can't come soon enough.

The wait for this release is killing me. I wish they'd say for sure when our savegames are safe from deletion since I just want to start now now now.

I think we should have done a thread about the release date when they uploaded the video, new threads for new news, right?

We probably should but it shouldn't matter too much as a good majority would get their news from this thread. It wouldn't hurt though.

If I remember correctly, a mod suggested against a new thread for the beta release because Divinity threads weren't that popular to begin with. Maybe it would just be better to leave discussion here until it's time for the official thread?

To be frank, though, GAF's apathy toward this game is pretty shameful. I'll chalk it up to the PC exclusive thing but we haven't seen an RPG this promising in a long time. It deserves more attention.

I can't call it on why this game garners so very little attention from the site. It looks ridiculously good.. Mechanically, systematically and visually. I mean, it has that look in that it seems like it would never ever come out to console but Brave New Worlds thread was incredibly popular for a while. I understand that Civ is a much older franchise but it still seems that something this impressive would not go pretty much ignored by a site like GAF.

Something about the Divinity name just turns people off, I guess. This will be game that I will list as one of the years best and far better than X console exclusive/heavy type game and get called out as someone who is an idiot. I remember I was debating in a PC sales thread or something and Coldfoot came in there talking about "This is the guy who would rather play low reviewed games like Divine Divinity and Mount and Blade". As much as it has improved, GAF as a whole is still very much focused on consoles and very much influenced by the game media. And the regular media has hardly said 1 word about this game.
