Jesus, how on earth did you get such high attribute stats for your characters? I'm nowhere near that at level 17 and have been specializing plenty. All just special loot?

EDIT: Actually all your stats are like crazy high. Vitality, Damage, magic defense, etc.

Anyways, super minor nitpick on the new update - I don't like how the new HP bar for your character icons in the upper-left part of the screen are super red now. It looks almost cartoony. Does make it a bit easier to tell if you're not *quite* at max HP, but I didn't feel that was such a huge problem that needed solving. Comparison:

Legendary gear - found or bought - improved with crafting.
Also bought every tome and codex I could find.

Hortun
sells an insane amount of legendaries:

Magic resist is easy to max out late-game with weather-the-storm talent and ruby/essence resistance improvements.

My friend and I are stuck behind the door that requires you to have found a certain number of bloodstones. I have no idea how many we have found or which ones we've found. Game has been great until now, but this is seriously pissing us off.

How can we tell how many bloodstones we've found and which ones (so we don't retrace our steps for nothing)?

You should have the stones in your inventories. Hope this video helps.
Locations of Blood/Star stones.

Thanks. I've long since gotten rid of the empty stones, though. Also, since I'm playing it co-op...well, we just don't remember where we've found them.

Is there a way to cheat through? This is turning into a waste of time and my friend and I are out of patience.

That, I do not remember. Does tennebrium weapons damage the door? I don't remember if you can break the door that way or not. That might be the only way through if there is no console in the game.

Finished the game yesterday evening. Played it with my brother and we had great fun although the game had some issues. Sometimes we felt lost and didn't know what to do next in our quest - and that crafting system, oh boy. Without Google we wouldn't have finished the game. ;-) Nevertheless we had a great time. But I didn't understand why the game dropped two legendary items in the last boss fight when you can't continue playing once the boss is dead. Felt like I got trolled by a game.

I'm finding it impossible to find Petrifying Touch and Phoenix Dive. No amount of reloads yield these skill books from Ahru or Aureus. Do these show up late game or have I over-leveled or something? I'm only at 9 and those are 7/8 skillbooks.

Just luck of the draw, unfortunately.

As far as I know, Phoenix Dive is only from the fire elemental vendor you unlock later on. Petrifying Touch I wanna say is the same for the earth elemental but I'm not 100% sure since I didn't care about it. Quite a few books are like that, generally mostly the endgame books. Also quite a few books are only found in the world(and for the most part are unique because of it, though a few can be found twice).

Yeah, I first got phoenix dive from the fire vendor at the end of time. Was around level 12-13 when I got it IIRC.

So, so very close to finishing this on co-op with a friend, we're up to the final boss. Our current builds have an overall poor damage output but we simply can't die, the fights leading up to it started to drag out for awhile haha. Then we're onto a lone companion run w/ the source difficulty mod. We've got a pretty good idea on all the mechanics now, it'd be nice to actually be required to use the crafting aspect of it.

Thanks to this thread, I just found out about this game last week and now I've become obsessed with it. The wait until payday has/is excruciating and honestly I haven't been this hyped about an RPG in a long time.

I'm so glad I ran across this thread, this looks like the RPG I've been waiting years for. =)

Does the guy escaping the Immaculates when you first enter Luculla add anything to your journal? I reloaded after first meeting him and I wasn't able to find him again.

So this RPG itch I've had..... This game is tickling me all over. So so good.

Edit: I just milked a cow. That's right.

Bought this game not that long ago and I've put in an hour so far, so I'm obviously very early in.

What's the deal with stealth? I think that's what it's called, it's where your turn into a rock and can move about. How does that work exactly, It's a bit bizarre to look out.

Can enemies see me? How can they not notice a rock.

Enemies have a cone of vision which you see when you are stealthed. Stay away from that and watch movement patterns etc.
Hint - there are lots of uses for stealth in the game for solving problems.

As for turning into a rock, its location sensitive so you might turn into something else in another area.

I guess I'm done. I'm at level 21, but cant enter the Source Temple Trial. Apparently I'm missing Star Stones. I have no idea how many I'm missing, it simply just doesn't tell me. Says to go to the Teller of Secrets, where she will help guide me towards other Star Stones. Buy a map off her. 'Use' it, but no other info is given. Traveled to all the various main maps but nothing has shown up on any of them. So its absolutely useless.

Anyways, it sounds like I'd have to constantly resort to a guide online to finish the game and I'm simply not gonna do that. That's ridiculous.

Had fun with the game overall. Some of the best turn-based combat I've experienced.

Is it mandatory having more than two party members once leaving
Cyseal and heading out West to battle the undead?
I've managed some battles, but now some just seem impossible.

It's not mandatory but it does help. I did a two longer wolves play through and my 4 party member team has been significantly easier.

How many do you have (if you saved them in your inventory)? Most of them should be hard to miss through doing the quests. There was only one towards the end that I think could be blatantly avoided.

Also, have you used all of the blood stones you have? They need to be used.

I think have like 6 inert stones. And 3 blood stones. Why do I need to use blood stones? I need star stones.

Blood stones become star stones when used. And like the regular star stones you've seen throughout the game, star stones instantly turn into inert stones.

Ok, so instead of 6 star stones, I just need 3 blood/star stones? I still don't think I wanna hunt them down by way of an online guide. Is the last area really that great that its worth doing? I don't care at all about the story. I'm quite content to stop now unless there's a good reason to continue on.

The last boss is pretty fun, as far as that goes, but if you don't care about the story or the ability to say you technically finished the game you're not missing all that much after that point, certainly relative to everything you've already done.

If I have a mage who is specialised in Air/Water spells would I be at a disadvantage if I use a fire or earth staff?

No. The only thing to consider is that you may not want to hit someone with fire effects if you've been wetting them/cooling them down, as that will "reset" them and you'd have to start over if you were looking to freeze them or get bonus electrical damage.

Thanks guys. One more thing. Concerning the "cooking" in this game (or more like, the combining of ingredients): you don't need any skills that will, for instance, make you cook different kinds of food, right?

So I'm debating whether or not I should invest in Fire and/or Earth spells. Currently I have two mages (one of them is Jahan) which both specialize in Water/Air. This works really well. Enemy get frozen or stunned so often it's great. But is it worth it to give one point in Fire or Earth to one of my two mages?

Yes, it's worth it for at least one point. Three spells each is nothing to sneeze at, and there are good spells in each school. Witchcraft as well.

Sorry guys, i'm looking to buy a new laptop, and this is basically the only game i'm interested to play.
So i'd like to play it reasonably well (med/high settings, at least 30fps, 1366x768 is ok), which mobile graphic card should i look for?

I just finished my (co-op) playthrough. 69 hours.

Such a great game.

I'm currently at 157 hours and I still haven't finished. So far it's easily my favorite game this year, although there are games I still haven't played or played enough of to say for sure. I hope I can finish Wasteland 2 once I finish Divinity: OS before the year is out.

lol indeed.

For me it's a 3 way race between Divinity, Might & Magic and Grimrock.

If Underrail leaves early access this year then it may supplant them all.

Might & Magic X was great, before Divinity: OS it wasn't a question. I haven't played Legend of Grimrock 2 yet, but I'm looking forward to it. As for Underrail, it looks really good, it would certainly be interesting if it released this year.

Started my playthrough only yesterday despite pre ordering the game a couple of days before it came out.
Just made it to the End of Times, I think I just fell in love with the game. Excellent OST too.

I won't be able to participate, but I want to urge on the GAFfers who will the necessity of stressing to the developers the idea to ditch randomized loot in favor of hand-placed, pre-designed items for their next game.
More Baldur's Gate II and less Diablo when it comes to itemization, please.
