The Grammys are the same bunch that said Macklemore had a better album than Good Kid Maad City and has given Amethyst Kelly not 1, not 2, but 4 nominations.

That makes even less sense given Perry has yet to win a Grammy.

Huh? His had a bunch of hits in Korea and that's despite getting into trouble a bunch of times which would have killed anyone else career but he still succeeded.

Fancy was original and really good that Iggy made Fancy 2.0 and Fancy 3.0 and they both gone flop, The new classic was a good rap album but not worthy
as for The best new artist nomination .. she's really a good rapper
she don't auto-tune her verses a lot and her voice is " unique " not a lot of white chicks have her voice plus she got the diva's attitude

Katy Perry is ok, but Dark Horse is awful. Hell, Roar is a better song, and Roar sucks.

People need to listen the full album to realize that is not even the worst song in the album. Prism is her worst album but not like the others set any standards on the industry except on how to jump on trends with mindless lyrics that barely make any sense or coherence. Props to the team behind her for making generic yet catchy beats with mindless lyrics that move forward Katy Perry stuff. Katy Perry is somewhat like Taylor Swift but less talented and vocally more annoying live. Oh well trash music has existed since forever. *Plays Achey Breaky Heart to remind the world of that awful trash from the past*

I enjoy Katy Perry's music and it's like the worse one to me. It's the least catchy and there's not much to like about it.

I thought it was ridiculous when the producers of her album weren't originally going to make it a single. It had a sick trap beat with Juicy J, of course it was going to be a hit.

I'm always heavily skeptical of these sorts of numbers due to all the shenanigans at play w/ regard to things like twitter followers. I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out that youtube views can be spoofed in a similar fashion as twitter followers.
