I just bought this game for $15 CDN, now im wondering if I should return it and wait for Chaos Theory or keep it and play online right now, are there a decent amount of people playing it still?

There's a pretty solid base of people playing PT.

You should start playing now and get some practice. SCPT has a huge learning curve. I've been playing off and on since September and I'm still pretty mediocre at it.

But it's the coolest multiplayer game I've ever played.

Add me to your friends list (TheManchDynasty) and send me an invite if you catch me online. I can show you around the maps.

I'm thinking of getting back on it since Halo 2 multi is pissing me off, but I have other games to start/finish. I don't know what I will do. ;P Anyway, the last time I was on SC:PT (sometime before the fall) it was kind of hard to get unranked games going. I lost my rank when they reset thm shortly after release and I never bothered to get it back. If you join a ranked game and someone is higher than you, they usually kick you out. The single player is worth the purchase of the game (I love both SC games) and it would really help to practice before CT comes out so you should get it. It's not as high as anymore as you can see....

The only reason why I'm still on Halo 2 multi is because vehicles are fun and games are quick to start, otherwise I would be on another Live game now.

i play this quite often with some friends, we usually have 2 rooms going, and if we have an empty spot, it fills up VERY fast. there is still alot of interest in PT, due to very enjoyable multi and because it is a welcome counterpoint to the frenzy of Halo2.

the only bad element of PT is the 'ninja' deathmatchers. very very annoying. just some dudes who want to kill mercs and not play the objective game.

i really really hate them Ü

I've has this game for about 2 months, and no matter how much I play on Live, I don't like it very much. Maybe it'd be better with friends I guess.

The single player is...hard. I'm only on like the 2nd or 3rd mission.

The first few missions (anything that takes place in the jungle) isn't too fun so continue playing because it gets better.

I've been playing the adverserial mode lately here at the office and i've been surprised to see that there still was somewhat 50 persons playing on the America or North America whatever server.
You should definetely keep the game and practice for Chaos Theory.
