for example when i open a door to go somewhere else. while its loading the level, the sound skip couple of times sometimes. let alone the fact the slim ps2 start making some loading sounds ' i think the loading sounds are normal " but skipping sound while loading in DQ8 is normal?

i also noticed this like once or 2 times with MGS3.

keep in mind all the other games play fine. and no slow loading or stupid stuff.

i tried diffrent copy of DQ8 thinking it might be the DVD but its the same.

any ideas?

I remember my DQ8 would skip at the music sometimes too. It isn't just you.

I am sensitive to these kinds of things an I never had any music skipping in DQ8 on my 4 year old Ps2

I guess your drive is just not that great, I doubt it is a problem though..

as long as it does not lock up

i am like that too.

it only happened with me once though for like less than second


so i restarted the ps2 after cleaning the game and it never happened again [ the same loading spot]

but i am asking that IF it happen again in the future. is it like ok ?

Audio would sometimes skip in MGS3, during some codec conversations I believe.
No skipping in DQ8. The cog for your laser might need readjusted and the laser itself cleaned with a q-tip + isopropyl alcohol.

My games load a bit faster, and perhaps the MGS3 problem is gone now, not sure though.
