Yes, because I don't want to pay a fine.
Before they started handing out fines I'd carry one around with me and I'd put it on when entering somewhere or in places with a lot of people. Having to put it on when I'm walking outside with no one around is silly, but if it's a small inconvenience.

Good thing we're both grown ass men. Cuz this grown ass man doesn't feel it's necessary to wear one so he won't. Also, experts have been wrong about COVID now more times that I care to remember. The mask does work, but unless we all become Muslim women, we will one day take them off, catch COVID, build antibodies and herd immunity, and get on with our lives without the masks.

Again, if the governor of my state were end the lockdown tomorrow and make everyone wear a mask, I'd happily put one on. But, he won't end it. So I won't wear a mask.

I wear them indoors. I'm required to wear them at work in certain areas. When I take my dog / kids for a walk outside where I can maintain social distancing, I don't wear a mask. Wearing a mask in the sun is rough.

I live right on the border of a state that doesn't mandate masks and one that does.

If I'm in the state where I live, I don't wear them.

I do go to the neighboring state to do my grocery shopping (it's a better store) and I'm forced to wear one there. I have a very nice "Trump 2020" mask for that weekly grocery shopping trip.

To me the issue isn't "should you wear a mask or not" it's "Should the government have the power to mandate wearing a mask?" The answer to that question is a resounding "NO"

I will never wear a mask. It was proven that long therm mask wearing can do more harm then good.

All the cases here are blowen up lies. Hospitals are empty i know my wife works there.
I yet have to see any sign of the pandemic in real life other then in the fear factor machine that is the media.

And i am not the only one. 90 percent for sure dont wear a mask given i go to retail every day and almost no one wears them.

Also the old people who should wear a mask dont do it either.

And for sure i will refuse to wear a mask after they allowed all these riots to take place world wide not giving a fuck that those people never practiced social distancing or making masks mandatory.

The only thing i do i sanitize my hands in my truck after going to store or in public.

It does actually effect your lungs long therm.
You inhale way more carbondioxid as what you exhale will be inhaled right away.

In my industry there are some days where i have to wear a mask and after a couple hours i get dizzy.
After removing it i feel alive again and feel the fresh air in my lungs.
 
I don't how opinions on this snowballed so quickly from "masks are gay and our culture has never felt a need to use them before", to "holy shit we need this mandatory with punishment for those who don't obey", when the death rate for this "novel virus" is really not all that scary.

because if you reason any order (not a law, in the US) with the phrase "public health", the masses will lay down all contrary thoughts because "why would the government lie?" Even though the government lies all the time. Lying is the governments primary job.

To this day they had no one on her floor only a handfull of old fucks in the icu.
It was so bad so horrible as you want to pitch to me that they had to send people home from work as there was nothing to do.

Now that they went back to normal she finally has steady work again and even gets called in for overtime shifts.

I wear a mask if I'm going into a commercial building. There's no reason whatsoever to wear one outside unless you're going to rob a gas station.

How is this so hard to understand? A Mask blocks some particulates from coming near your mouth and nose. It's like saying "I can't believe you guys all fell for this clothing meme, how do we REALLY know you're any warmer if you put a sweater on in the winter?"

I mean, do whatever the hell you like, I'm avoiding people like the plague anyway.

Fun fact when i went to my doctor prior lockdown he and many others even on the news were telling my how i should worry about the flu but not covid.

And now its the other way.

I guess that's up to you if you want to put yourself at risk (Just because there's no outbreak where you're at, doesn't mean it can't happen or that it's not there already in small numbers) but seriously stop spreading this false garbage. There's absolutely no scientifically accepted proof that wearing a mask is harmful to you. If that were the case, doctors and nurses who wear one every day for years, even decades, would have been dropping like flies long before this outbreak.

And no one is saying to wear a mask 24/7 or sleep with it, just when you're out interacting with other people. It's really not asking for much, literally. It's something so laughably simple, and can help potentially save so many lives (and part of the reason most countries have their shit under control). It's worth it for that alone.

Repeat. Wife rn on trauma. In the the biggest hospital in western canada.
Only a few patients.
Most died at age of 80 and up. All from nursing homes.
And no work cuz no waves of sick people.

Me business owner. In an i dustry that was not affected by shutdown.
Most companies went under though.
All for nothing.

You cant prove me wrong in my country. Cuz there was almost nothing going on here.

Come on let me hear your argument against this.

There is no mandatory mask wearing in canada.
And people are fine.
In a city with 1.5 million we are fine. We had what 4000 cases here? In the city? Moat resolved in a week or two.
Only 120 active cases that are sitting home on their asses.

No nurses and doctors dont wear full time mask for years what a stupid statement. Ask my wife.
 
Ive actually come to enjoy wearing the mask, it feels nice on my face and i think it looks kinda cool. Also besides the china virus, it seems to help with all the shitty pollution here on the london streets.

I hear toronto and somewhere else.

They have more cases and an uptick in new infections though most if not all are asymptometic.

Also its mostly for transit not stores i believe.

We are fine here.
Most drive a car from home to work with little to no interaction between stop with others.

And we are clean and practice basic hygene which in most europen countries and lets not get into secind and 3rd world countries is not the case.
 
I wear my mask at work, since it's mandatory. I also wear it when going into ANY business, even if the managers/owners are lax about it. Also, just as a courtesy I'll wear a mask in fast food drive-throughs.

When walking on the street or driving in my car, no.

My ICU was nearly all COVID patients in early April. We don't admit very many octaganerians to our ICU. They're generally palliated on the ward if they get that sick. Patient's goals of care are generally pretty reasonable here. The average patient in our ICU was in their 50s. We had several in their 30s. We locked down mid march. and thankfully early April was the worst of it. If we hadn't, we would have become the next Italy or NYC.

I don't know what your wifes exprience with COVID was, but it sounds like she had none.
