Do you like what you've seen so far from Wii U's visuals?

I don't find any of these games looking impressive. Not even X though that's the best one for sure. What I saw from Mario 3D World for instance, was pretty much the same as 3D Land except shinier and now in HD. I also expected Smash Bros to take a significant leap, but again, it was barely any better than Brawl except now it's in HD and I'd even go so far as to say that certain character models look worse. It was very underwhelming all in all and it once again made me glad that I didn't get a Wii U at launch. This might actually be the first Nintendo home console I won't be getting at all.

So what do you guys think now of this:

as it pertains to what the actual game looks like, and of course your opinion of the visuals over all?
To me, it seems like Kamiya wasn't bullshittin...

they delivered, seriously the entire fight with Gomorrah on the side of that crumbling building with the city in the background at 60fps....HNNNGGG!!

I am happy that most of the games are targeting 60 fps and I want my games to play smoothly. As I can expect that from all the 1st party games (including exclusives) I am happy with the visuals shown. Looking forward to many games to come.

I'm not that concerned about graphics, but it's way easier to notice colours.
So far the games are colorful so I like it.
But when I play I game I'm focusing on playing the game and not look everywhere if the little stones have a nice texture.

I honestly believe that "X" is the most gorgeous game I have ever seen. Seriously beautiful. I really pleased with the WiiU's visuals so far.

I mean they look fine to me, and it is nice to finally start seeing what the Wii U is capable of. That being said, it most certainly isn't on par to the Xbox One/PS4. It might not have to be though, if they support it with interesting (as well as social) games and drop the price, they definitely could squeeze in as a complimentary console to one of those two (similar to the wii).

It looked nice, but I really have to disagree strongly. I think there are a lot of games that look way better, but the setting definitely draws you in.

I will say between it and Mario Kart 8, those two definitely showed off the Wii U's capability. I really would love to see X with anti-aliasing, in my wildest dreams they pull it off without harming performance too noticeably.

DK a graphical showcase? I don't buy it.

Honestly I thought it looked pretty terrible visually (from a technical standpoint). Kinda disappointing given the rumors swirling over the last few years, I think it caused me to inflate my expectations too high. I'll get it though, i enjoy donkey kong country returns and this game looks fun.

I love how MK8 and X look. Smash looks cleaner, and Mario 3D World seems to have much better lighting if you watch videos. It's just the levels themselves could be more expansive or something to impress. I'm still not impressed by Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze. Not sure if it's the lighting or something, but something makes it feel off when I look at the footage for it.

I don't think static screens do Nintendo games justice... You really need to see them in motion to appreciate the technology, artstyle and graphical nous that's gone into each title.

Even in direct-feed YouTube videos all the games look fantastic in motion and you start to notice little touches like the shadows, lighting, DOF and so on.

Can't wait to see what Nintendo, Retro, Platinum and so on have got up their sleeves for all their other IPs.

No, from what I've seen nothing matches the best looking games from current-gen, so it's pretty disappointing.

Only Mario Kart really looks to take advantage of the Wii U's hardware, I've been very disappointed with everything else.

Nintendo is simply not ambitious when it comes to graphics. Mario Kart looks fine enough, but there is not much else to wow us, especially when you consider this is their 3rd E3. What Retro wound up making is the epitome of disappointing. X is nice, I like X. But is there anything on par with God of War 3 or Last of Us? No. Not that the Wii U cannot produce those graphics and with some moderate improvement, its just that Nintendo can't be bothered to compete.
