Do you put your PS2 vertically or horizontally?

I went to WAGs boutique and all I got was a sniff

Maybe the way I phrased it is a bit confusing, the top one is horizontal and the bottom one is vertical. I have always changed, sometimes vertically and sometimes horizontally, but Icve usually opted of horizontal even though I think that it looks better vertical. The reason that I do that is because one of my friends put up his PS2 vertically and all hais games kept getting stratched. he is my only firend who had it vertically, so Im not sure if his games getting scratched is due to the positioning of his PS2 or not.

It depends on whether the game is having problems running or not. Sometimes, it's almost diagonally oriented (halfway between the two rest states)...especially if I'm trying to use a CD-based PS2 game.

After 5 years I fianlly had to lay it down, it finally won't play games standing up. I'll replace it one day and will stand it up again. To me that's how it was ment to be.

I kept it vertical for 1.5 years and it stopped loading games. I turned it horizontal and now it has been working pretty well for two years or so.

Vertical.

My first PS2 broke down twice due to DREs, which Sony fixed both times, before I finally traded it in towards the pro-scan model (w/ which I haven't had any issues).

I've played it in both positions over the years... currently it's back to the horizontal just because of where it is in our house right now.

Horizontal. I keep thinking the disc is going to try to come out partway as I hit the close button and break in half if it's vertical.

Was horizontal for most of its life, but is now vertical on a shelf with the Dreamcast and Xbox. Its the only way I have room.

I thought I was the only one who had theirs vertical without the official stand.

Did anyone actually buy the stands?

Vertical - looks way better and makes it possible to fit both my GC and Xbox under the TV as well.

I chunked $15 down for the little black circle..... and damn is it ever nice - the little bastard is so heavy it's as if it was made out of meteors.

Honestly one of the more quality purchases I've ever made, scale to its price - and the way it tightens in so snugg, nice! My PStwo doesn't wobble one bit.

If you're anal-retentive about your product's industrial-design, I can't reccomend it enough.

Yup, it's kinda picey but well worth it if you want to put your PSTwo in the vertical position. Very heavy base, I'm never worried about the system tipping over, no wobbling, nothing.

I always put the occasional DRE down to vertical position messing with my discs...

I had no basis for thinging that, but I did. Now the PStwo is eternally horizontal.
