Do you want a jrpg localized for vita? Scee wants to know your requests!

That would also explain why they haven't put it on PSN. Makes sense.

I'd be fine with the PSP version just being put on PSN instead of porting it and making it a native Vita game. Not sure if that's something they are considering or not though.

I wouldn't take that as fact, as I've heard a lot of things about it. Not working well on the emulator, crappy localisation that failed to meet Sony's standards (as there are a number of lines that are pure gibberish in it) and a couple others.

As for PSP vs Vita, I think a Vita release would give it a higher profile and possibly allow them to follow it up with further Suikoden ports. I'd love a port of III, as it never got a PAL release and is the only one I've never played (aside from the Japan exclusive PSP one).

What I would like is for all the PSP Rpgs to be up on PSN and be Vita compatible.

I really, really would like to play Phantasy Star: Portable 2 on my Vita so I can use the second stick.

Valkyria Chronicles 3 and Final Fantasy XII. Probably the last chance for western VC3. Do it!

I also mentioned to Shahid that we jRPG lovers don't mind 'subtitles only' and that if publishers won't release a game because dubs are expensive that for us subtitles will do.

MAKE THEM HELP XSeed with the Trails series. No, SERIOUSLY, make them give translators or help them somewhat to make all of the series playable on Vita.

Tweeted my 2cents, I love my Vita JRPGs so stuff like ‏Valkyria Chronicles, Star Ocean, Super Robot Tensen, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Innocence R,Legend of Heroes games, Suikoden games, everything Persona related, FF XII and Type 0 would be appreciated.

I would settle for Type 0 and Valkyria Chronicles 3, those games would definitely make me buy a Vita. And an Alundra revival would be a nice bonus.

Sony should just put a lot of money and effort in just translating and subbing these Japanese games instead of insisting on dubbing them. I mean, in general jRPG lovers also love anime and I think the majority of them hate dubbed anime, am I right?

hopefully this translate to ps4 as well. i mean for future games and such. its good that him or whoever started this initiative is very promising.

i know it's a fuckin mess with rights and licenses but it would be great if they start flooding the psn with psone-ps2 games. i still can believe how poor they are (nintendo virtual console is even worse)

Shahid, I already chose my games...

Ok Shahid. Here it is short and simple in order of priority:

- FF-Type 0 HD
- FFXII Zodiac HD
- Skies of Arcadia HD
- Dragon Quest VIII HD
- Valkyria Chronicles 3

... but I also wanted to ask I would also LOVE to have the option for the original Japanese audio for any of these. Specially Type-0.

Hell, I would even pay for it as DLC.

Any other GAFfers in the same boat?

Btw. Thanks for the great initiative and for keeping in touch with the community Shahid.

let's be honest. most of JRPGS are a niche and who buy them probably doesn't even care if they are not dubbed. keep the costs low, just sub them and release them!

Is this just some hypothetical pie in the sky shit, or are they actually willing to try and follow through?

If it's the latter i'll put another vote down for Type-0.

Here's one easy one you can check out since it's within the same company.

Over my dead body, it was a JRPG that was developed and published by SCEJ that is getting a sequel on the Vita.

Might be a good idea to bring it over to the west first and get people used to the first game before bringing in the sequel.

Also another game is Dangan Ronpa 1 and 2, a visual novel type game that's akin to Phoenix Wright and 999 which seems to be getting a Vita only sequel soon enough in japan. Both these games are very well loved and considered by many in japan to be one of the best adventure/visual novel type games to be ever released, it's just a massive shame they were never brought over.

Both these games would massively boost the Vita's spread of genres, japanese-wise.

Also VC3, FF Type-0 and more but I think you'll probably be swamped with them. Bring over the two tales of games as well, Tales of Innocence and Tales of Hearts.

My list of games:

Legend of Dragoon
Rogue Galaxy
Dark Cloud 2
FF Type-0
Valkyrie Chronicles 3
Persona 3 FES
Trails in the Sky games
Suikoden

There are too many to list.

I'll say the same thing I said in the monthly thread:

Get Square on FFXII: International: Zodiac Job System HD and I'd flip my wig and buy five copies, no joke.

Additionally, I'm totally expecting Atlus to port Nocturne/SMT3 anyday now. I have the PS2 version sitting here but as soon as I start playing it I know Atlus will troll me and announce a port.

Marvelous had a survey up for this back in december. I think it will eventually come, but the wait is killing me.
Steam only though probably, which is dissapointing considering it works perfect no a handheld, and the first one is after al, PSP's finest

But it shouldn't be too surprising considering how the first one sold, right?

I like to think gaf isn't the worst place on earth though :(
