Oh God, they're going to reveal one of these pictures from the read through with a new cast member every day, aren't they?

On Friday, they show one with Eccleston and we all lose our shit.

:(

Also, both pictures have had a Dalek plunger poking in to the bottom left corner.

If Eccleston was in then my shit would be well and truly lost. Seriously, I'm freaking out just thinking about it.

The picture of Tennant and Smith is almost enough to send me over the edge.

Are they going to bring a bit of Hollywood into the mix to appeal to the US market? Johnny Depp the timelord.

How big is the budget?

why are all the dr whos in one place again?

Time travel! They're bound to run into one another at some point.

If you go by some past experiences even some of the Doctors did not exactly care for one another and took another Doctor to keep them from bickering.

No bigger than any other special episode (like Christmas) really. The way BBC commissioning works they can't really drop a ton on this specific episode just because of what it represents.

Well, they already did Time Crash. Peter Davidson should be next in the lineup.

Though Christopher Eccleston's presence would make me flip my lid.

Ah, I see.
All this talk of 3D and theatrical release etc, was making me think of the McGann special.

I don't care, I will still probably love it.

I hope this is showing somewhere around Nashville. I'd be willing to drive an hour or so, but any more than that and the gas gets pricey.

edit: Also hope they give out some midnight goodies if there's a premier.

The audience would be pretty cool, you would have to get a Tom Baker scarf and some jelly babies.

If it's getting a worldwide cinema release, even a limited one, you can bet that BBC Worldwide are adding to the pot. I wouldn't be vastly surprised to hear BBC Films had an input, too.

EDIT: AAAAHHHHHH

I've been waiting for three years to post this tweet: Matt Smith and David Tennant have arrived on set #dwsr

Done, but this has been officially revealed by the BBC. We didn't spoiler the Ice Warrior pictures when they were revealed, did we?

That's true. Can we add a spoiler policy to the first post?

I guess if BBC have officially announced it's not really a spoiler, would be nice to tag it for others.

You are absolutely right infiniteloop and I am really sorry, but it's just that the BBC is being so public about 50th details that apart from putting oneself in a complete media blackout to everything Doctor Who it's near impossible to avoid.

Within a few minutes it popped up on Facebook and Twitter. I was also caught by surprise when even The Verge mentioned the Tennant news.

I do agree though, I would prefer to be caught completely by surprise.

Hey, no one should be hating on the design of the
Zygons
.

Easily amongst the best designs the classic series put out, and these are pretty faithful.

No probs. I thought it was a set pic taken by a fan at first.

Ugh I hope not. When be kinda cliche. I'm hoping they're saving that reveal for the Christmas Special and putting the spotlight on Smith/Tennant for the 50th.

Moffat has said [Series 7/Clara spoiler]
the mystery of Clara will be resolved by the end of Series 7

Yeah I know.
I'm assuming that the Christmas Special is part of Series 7, they've always treated them as sort of a transition so I'm sure it's included in his statement. If it's LITERALLY by the end of Series 7, then it'll be in the season finale and definitely not in the 50th

Why was he on for only one season? I really liked him as The Doctor, not that I don't love them all but I felt we didn't have enough time with Eccleston. He reminded me or a zany modern day Max Headroom

Mind you my first entry into the Who series was the 2005 reboot all the way to just pre Matt Smith and then the classics. So Eccleston was my first Doctor really.

Edit: He was also good on that show "Cracker"
