Spent much time living in New England?

Yeah, it's nowhere near many other sports.
But, people still definitely care about it.

Heck, the WNBA was practically formed to give Rebecca Lobo a place to continue to play.

nah, i just felt like matching your irreverent tone

Doesn't the WNBA season run opposite to the NBA season?

I'd watch if more games were televised. Diana Taurasi is a really good player, she can play at NBA level IMO. So could Lisa Leslie and Tamika Catchings. There's a lot of talent there that deserves a NBA spot more than people like Kwame Brown and Eddy Curry do.

Women's college BB seems to focus on the rare talent like Brittany Greiner and the big name coaches like Pat Summit. I don't hear too much about the other players.

men's basketball(and the sports I listed) produces recognizable superstars and great memorable moments in American sports history.

just cuz its not as big as some male sports organizations don't mean enough people don't care

I'm not trying to be snide or anything, but maybe I'm missing something... isn't that exactly what it means?

Yeah, kind of to give people soemthing to watch year-round/not interfere with each other's games.

And, I've never really "gotten" college sports in general >.>

I'm vaguely familiar with women's NFL because as a PGH fan I browse PGH sites that mention the Pittsburgh Passion who apparently are the 2014 IWFL champions... Their home page even links to some of their games like this one vs the New York Sharks. It looks like regular NFL to me (although a really tame version).

Looking at the video, I can't say that I personally could take it seriously...

I don't mind checking out scantily clad women usually but the lingerie rugby, I had to switch off and was pissed off about. The girls were trying their guts out and made to run about with barely there undies up their cracks with legs spread eagled and boobs almost bouncing out of their restraints. I feel like laying into the dude that came up with this shameful shit.

As much as it annoys soccer lovers soccer does not own the word 'football' for the game.
There are many types of football, soccer is one of them

I'm not sure what it would take to make me care about women's sport, but right now I just really, really don't. I couldn't help but feel like I'd rather be watching the men's one.
