His last name was just Noid, he was mentally deranged, and Domino's addressed the rumors and this had nothing to do with them "dropping" the Noid character. They've used him periodically in random ads since. He even appeared in a Crash Bandicoot phone game a few years ago.

I expected the explosion to be about as dramatic as mentos in a coke bottle, but that was a proper explosion.

It's odd to say this about an exploding building, but it's nice to see something live up to the title for once.
