The Republicans put a circus clown in the White house and it looks like they're going to hold the House and Senate. We're fucked in about a million ways. Democrats are going to have near-zero relevance or influence in national politics for a while. We're actually probably fucked in a billion ways.

Get mad at the Democratic party. Stop excusing losing. The Clinton family needs to disappear in disgrace and the party needs to clean house in a massive way. They've somehow let themselves become irrelevant despite their relative sanity compared to the opposition. None of them deserve our fandom, support or sympathy. Our votes make them and their incompetence is going to break us.
 
I can't believe how delusional our country has become. For this... for this to happen. Oh god and all the vindication these assholes are going to feel.

Good rule to learn here, don't let GAF form your opinion.

Not to be a total dick, but I'm honestly ashamed of a lot of you. I said it before in the thread about the person who said that Trump lost their vote, and in other political threads, but GAF's general hyperbole (which is a word that is far too overused here) can legitimately be damaging. Instead of talking about ideals, GAF just generally talked about winning.

But honestly it's a problem more in this country and this election in general, so GAF is not only to blame at all. I just thought we were stronger than that, to not fall into it. To not let it leak into us.
 
So I've just realised that somehow Mr Garrison is going to be president in South Park as well. We really are in the darkest timeline.

It doesn't matter. Trump publicly stated he wants to run the Presidency like he runs his businesses. He wants a COO to handle all the day to day operations but as President he can't do that so he'll have to settle for most. Pence is our new president most of the time. Trump exerting his power will be infrequent, significant and seemingly predictable (especially if he gets back on twitter.

It's probably protest votes that tipped the balance. I don't think Trump's actual politics mattered that much, people were just slick of the system that led to Hillary running in the first place. That's my guess anyway
 
In Canada. People I was with were crying when they saw how close Trump was to winning, had to go home early because they couldn't bear to watch.
 
This is really like some series where they set up a major antagonist that runs roughshod over the series for the next few seasons. Just, wow. This is some straight anime shit.

Once Romans focused on populism, the spark that would eventually blow up the republic was laid out. Lets see what happens some 2100 years later.
 
I can't believe Trump could pull it off even with all the shit surrounding him. Brexit and Trump...people are dumb.
