Awesome. Can't wait to see this. The midnight showing of the original we had last semester sold out (380 FSU students) extremely quickly.

I'm excited to see what Kelly promises will "shock even the most hardcore fans of the original."

Spoil it for me and you will know no mercy, GAF.

Consider thread almost derailed. My god dude get a grip on reality. (shakes Agent) are you like looking into the future with your mind or something dude? WHOA its Donnie Darko

*trying desperately to get back on topic*

Yes. In a trailer. For the director's cut.

Dear god I need help.

I still say the movie is perfect and a new edition is not necessary, but I'm interested...

... but was there any actual new footage in the trailer?

Not really, no. Twenty new minutes in the cut, though.

Watched the movie this weekend. Don't expect any gigantic changes. It was actually sort of difficult to spot anything new.

All in all, it's still a great thought-provoking movie, but not moreso than it originally was.

I saw the director's cut a few weeks back in Seattle, they basically added in most of the deleted scenes and some shots of the Philosophy of Time Travel book. Nothing really gigantic in terms of what was already available in your pursuit of understanding the film.
