Correct.It's not Mick Gordon, right?
No, it's the Great Value Wal-Mart brand of Mick Gordon. Instead of doing something new they are doing some pale imitation work on the back of Micks style. I'd love to see them actually farm out some music to a band like Slaughter to Prevail to lay down some beastly backing tracks. It's not Mick Gordon, right?

It's Finishing Move. Wish they had gone with Hulshult or Levy as they did for Eternal's DLC, but those dudes seems to be making a good job anyway. It's not Mick Gordon, right?

I hope that they'll ask Nine Inch Nails to do the OST for the next Quake game, if they ever do one...No, it's the Great Value Wal-Mart brand of Mick Gordon. How is that an Edgelord take? It's literally Mick-lite music. 90% of the Mick taste, just 1 calorie. Get some real artists to come in, Doom deserves it.Oh look, an

I just wish they would have buried the hatchet with Mick. I'm pretty keenly aware of both sides of that whole thing, and neither side was in the right.![]()

Coincidentally the Oblivion Remaster has recently caused Jeremy Soule's work to be discussed again, which is the other big case where a soundtrack is a huge part of the game for many but won't happen again. People tend not to be too keen about the idea of TES6 without Jeremy's work.I just wish they would have buried the hatchet with Mick. I'm pretty keenly aware of both sides of that whole thing, and neither side was in the right.
For the sake of art and the product, they should have just settled their differences. I hate the idea that a game's quality can hinge on the participation of one person, but I'd be lying if I said Mick's iconic sound and energy weren't sorely missed. I'm sure the game will be great, but music is such a huge part of DOOM, and I'm already disappointed.
This soundtrack ain't it so far. It feels generic and lacks the grit and sound of the first two games.
DOOM music was always about imitation. It's a return to form.
Hell yeah, man. Saw them last year in Portland. They were fucking awesome seeing them again this year at aftershock festival. No, it's the Great Value Wal-Mart brand of Mick Gordon. Here's the real Edgelord post. It's shitty enough as is, no need to make it completely unlistenable.
Here's the real Edgelord post.
They have the talent to do it and the lead singer has professed his love for the game and even did a cover of some Doom songs that kicked ass, I fail to see the problem.A Slaughter to Prevail fan calling someone an edge-lord.
That's some funny stuff.

Also, you named yourself Baphomet which is literal cringe.
They make music. I like the sound of their music. I think they would make good Doom music. I fail to see what them looking like has to do with the music? Is this as far as your argument goes? Are you 12?You can't call anything cringe when you're oblivious to how fucking lame this is. Fucking LOL.

Gmanlives said it was unremarkable compared to the 2 previous games. Are there any reviews that specifially mention the soundtrack?
If it was Mick-lite, we'd be getting more electronic parts in this stuff, when I barely have heard any of that from their tracks. How is that an Edgelord take? It's literally Mick-lite music. 90% of the Mick taste, just 1 calorie. Get some real artists to come in, Doom deserves it.
