Invoker is far more annoying.

LOLOL BUILT IN RING OF HEALTH, STEALTH, THREE CROWD CONTROL, MOVESPEED, DAMAGE.

At least you can chase WR out of lane eventually.

Soloing against a good Huskar.....it is the worst.

WHAT'S THAT, YOU WANT THESE CREEPS? HAVE THESE FLAMING SPEARS INSTEAD!

Hm oh yeah, almost forgot about the downtime tomorrow. Would liked to have played some V-day dota with my friend. But guess not!

Ah well, maybe a day without Dota might clear my head a little.

At least Shackle Shot is not 3200 range.

It's fucking ludicrous, IceFrog could cut it in half and it still would be a great spell.

Think the fact it's not getting nerfed is because you really need to latch to trees/creeps/heroes to be really effective. It's worthless in open places unless 2 heroes stand straight next to each other. And if there is a brood/NP on the enemy team they can just remove a shit ton of tree's to cancel it out a lot as well.

At least tornado isnt a 3.75 second stun on two heroes that costs nothing and has a 12 second cooldown.

Actually I was speaking about Tornado when I wrote that, but my bad, I did not make that clear lol.

Shackle Shot specifically, I think it should be 3.75s disable total on heroes ; meaning if you latch one hero to a tree (or a creep), it stuns for 3.75s, but if it shackles to another hero, both are stunned for 2 seconds.

That could be a way.

Except for the fact that Broodmother and NP make tons of valid shackle targets themselves when they do that. Shackle Shot can latch someone up to 1100 units away since the spell has a cast range of 600 and a tether range of 500.

Broodmother?

Most annoying heroes imo:
Invoker
Windrunner
Dark Seer
Antimage
Ancient Apparition
Puck
Bounty Hunter

Yet to be added:
Shadow Demon
Phoenix
Techies

FUCK PUB MATCHES.

Alright so yesterday I played a couple of games. I usually pick my character first and let others pick complimentary pieces...but that rarely happens and we get something stupid like 4 carries. So yesterday I said, alright, I'll lay back and let my teammates pick first. That basically meant going Support, which is fine because I've been meaning to give Lich a try.

I decide to lane bot with Riki. Low and behold, he has no idea what the hell he's doing and this is revealed over the course of the game (as he never mentioned being new). How a Riki goes 1/9/2 over the course of a 40-minute match is baffling to me. He basically had no interest in farming and made his ONLY (yes, only) purchase...a Vlad's...40 minutes into the game (well after any doubt about the game's outcome was erased). I finish something like 0/7/12, which isn't surprising for pure support...but most of my deaths came as my lane mate just watched. The mothafucka actually ran along side me as a Bounty Hunter ran me down from tower to tower on the bottom lane....invisible and with full health. at any time he could have stepped in and distracted him. Nothing.

Few things are as infuriating as a *completely* incompetent lane mate because you can't expect them to do normal things. And him picking a Carry character meant having Carry expectations. If he had said he was new, we would have picked differently. I certainly would have. Or at least went to a different lane.

Yeah, that's not even being "new", that's just being stupid. Sure, I still don't know what the hell I'm doing in the game, but even in my very first game, where I spent my time aimlessly wandering around, I at least attacked the enemy when I saw them, especially if they were fighting my teammates at the time. Sure, I ended up dying every single time (I still have yet to actually kill another hero), but at least I tried to actually help the teammates that were obviously in the middle of a fight.

True, but the trees are down for a couple of minutes and all the spiders/trees will be with them in the mean time. Depends on the situation of course but let's say it's 1 vs 1 where trees are gone it's useless as in any open spots.

It's not much of course but still.. it's..something..

I've been playing some bot matches lately just to learn about characters not named Lich and the bots are brutal when it comes to focus firing.

You can't learn with bots.

Well maybe you could if allied bots were not stupid dumb bastards, but they are, so alas. Bunching up together? Check. TP back to base after killing 2-3 enemy heroes and pushed down T2 tower instead of keep pushing? Check. Not following up on your initiations and waiting at towers like pansies? Check.

I'm pretty sure that CoolHwip is a troll account. There is just no way someone can be so wrong about so many things. At least, I refuse to believe he's an actual character.

Also Swift and I are gonna revolutionize this game with semi-carry Lina and anti-carry/pusher Tiny.

SHADUUUUUUUUUUUUP, love that you never have any counterarguments and just go full /b/-tard every post.

Is there something wrong by not wanting the game being F2P with big limits?

I was after learning abilities and such...I'd rather have some semblance on how a hero mechanically plays before I test him in a real match.. I've been playing support in normal matches but haven't bothered with playing a carry just yet..

So I decided to try Pudge today and had a lot of fun hooking people. I can see why people find him annoying now.

I also noticed that teammates complain a lot more if you pick him, missed hooks and all that.

being in just about any lane against a good Huskar sucks. Same with Pudge after he's leveled up a bit, though for different reasons.

my one word to describe playing against a team with a fed Pudge: anxiety.

"never stop moving, for he is lurking."

Be with them? In the teamfight? With the Windrunner that shackles your carry to a treant?

I wasn't talking about teamfights. The spiders and trees will be with the heroes while the main trees are still down for a while is what I meant. Leaving a big gaping hole in places with nothing to latch on.

Only heroes I've found genuinely annoying is Huskar and Bounty/Riki on dumb teams that don't ward or get a gem. and a stalking Pudge. a fed Drow is hella annoying when you get caught in a lane by yourself. You just about can't get away. Zeus can feel cheap with his "anywhere on da map fuck you" Ult.

Of course, any hero that's been fed by allies will feel annoying.

Random question: what do you guys do when you look up and realize that perhaps because of your team feeding, you find yourself down 3+ levels to an opponent? The obvious answer is to try to go farm, but sometimes that's just not an option. Just accept the eventual loss? lol.

Hang around the fountain and shit talk about how your teammates are garbage to the other team so they know that had you had different teammates, you would've won.

Does intelligence increase spell damage for int heroes? Agility for agi heroes abilities, and strength for str heroes? Or is it just auto attacks?

Points into a Hero's primary attribute (Str, Int, Agi) increases auto attack damage. A few heroes have spells that scale with Int, Aghanim's Scepter upgrades the ultimates of a ton of heroes.

Veil of Discord also amplifies magic damage to enemies it hits in an AoE.

But it is a terrible item and you should feel bad for buying it.

On the other hand, a 25% magic damage amp could be nice for late-game (keeps heroes like ES, Lich, and Sand King hitting hard against heroes with things like Hoods or Pipes).

Oh yeah, me and greatdeceiver teamed with a gaffer by chance and he told me to gtfo. I don't understand what he meant by that >_>

Huskar. I've made it a point to gank him as much as possible, asap (usually doesn't work out). Can't count how many games I've lost to a good Huskar. MEGA KILL.

I would like a good discussion on this item. It's probably the least used item in the game.

I thought it would be good on a team that emphasizes aoe magic damage. Jakiro/Enigma/QoP/Lich seems like they would benefit from this item immensely.

Most annoying heroes imo:
Invoker
Windrunner
Dark Seer
Ancient Apparition
Puck
Earthshaker
Omniknight
Venomancer
Axe
Silencer

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\media\web

Valve published hero guides.

Cool.

Also, looks like there is going to be dota stuff built into steam. There is URLs in one of the files such as steam://dota.hero.sven steam://dota.itembuild.default_sven steam://dota.item.claritypotion

Roaming Drow/VS? Instant win.

Drow catching someone alone in a lane is a cheat code.

well...as long as they're melee and try to run away. Most people see that slow and try to retreat rather than engage. In many cases if they had just tried to fight her from the beginning, they could have won the fight.

But yea, Drow sneaking up on a team fight is...well she's a Carry for a reason.

No, I randomed Riki and refused to go in the same lane as blood seaker, and them wanting to prove they are more stubborn then me, decided rather then splitting up, they were going to roam together. And it fucking worked. We had 3 solo lanes, they got 4 kills in the first 8 minutes of the game without anyone on the team dying, and all before Drow got level 2. Drow didn't even have any CC, she had Precision Aura. Blood Seaker ganked ganked ganked, I farmed up all day and killed anyone who tried to come in the same lane with a Blink/Smoke/Diffusal Blade Combo (WR and Lich died so fast to it), and Drow farmed up heavily with the Jungle, actually ending up with a slightly higher GPM then I did in the end.
