Kunkka just couldn't get any crits. I guess that's why I don't like having to depend on RNG against a team dealing guaranteed damage. If the shit doesn't proc, you lose. If it does, you still might lose. idk.

Even with crits, he was rooted in those fights so frequently that he couldn't really chase supports or the like.

Is it a good idea to just leave Kunnka's X mark the spots at level 2? I've seen some players do that, makes it easier to land the Torrent I guess

I'd say its a function of who you're against and who your allies are. Its not what I'd do by default, only if I thought it had some synergy.

It's a crutch, but starting out as a Kunkka player it's not a terrible idea.

Kunkka is hard to play overall so anything that makes landing those HEUG WOMBO COMBOS easier is a good thing for novices.

I saw it done in the International East Qualifiers :O

I was looking through some of the replays of the International qualifiers. Looks like some Kunkka players leave X marks the spot at level 2 to land the Torrent, and others leave it at level 3 to land the boat because apparently, the boat takes 3.07 seconds to travel. Time to spam some Kunkka games. Watch out pubs

Had a really fun match as sniper just now:

We tried really hard but at the end it became a battle of attrition between the two teams, we got a lot of kills but eventually the creeps overran our ancient costing us the game. It certainly didn't help that people spoke Portuguese a language i don't know :/

Also i think sniper just became my favorite hero

I need to reread the changelog, I thought they also include a manual "back" button to X Mark.

Oh, a manual back button existed since day 1 I believe. I guess even the professional players don't feel like counting in the heat of battle? Maybe they're considering the fact that they may get stunned/silenced before they can press it. Or maybe they want to conserve some mana.

Ah, sweet sweet omni bracers. Truly mana from the gods.

So, dumb question, but is there a general guide to which boots I should be using? Sometimes I see a guide that offers several choices of boots and I'm not sure which to pick.

Boots of travel seem incredibly useful to me since you can travel to creeps as well as structures

Also is it a dumb idea to have more than one type of boots?

Really depends on your hero. BoTs are the most expensive take so much farm that you may not get all at once unless you're someone that really needs them (Tinker). People usually get BoTs late game when there's less towers and you need to make longer TPs.

You can get tranquil boots and a mana booster. Disassemble one and remake the other.

infinite mana and hp regen
I have never played omni so zero incentive for me to use those bracers lol

I think I'm on my worst play streak yet. Lost about 8/10 matches I've played recently and the ones I've won I haven't done well at all.

Problem is, I play with two sets of friends. One is high skill, so I don't do as well with them and the other is normal skill and they have a tendency to feed, so I don't do well with them.

This is making me sad face.

Someone tell me if this is even a viable Nature's Prophet build in any situation. I'm not seeing it, especially in the above match. PL even went BoTs first and we should have punished him for that. We had control early game. PA's farm was slow, but I helped by ganking her lane constantly. Mid game we just started losing fights though and barely got any towers. We couldn't get any rax at all. I don't understand how we didn't at least get closer to beating these guys.

just played maybe my 4th or 5th game vs humans as randomed phantom assassin

dear god was i overfarmed, that hero can fucking obliterate everything late game

i think i prefer playing a stun/slow support type though

lol those items against that lineup.
Seems like the kind of person that farms forever to get the most expensive items.

Know what the first thing he did when he got his Dagon was? TP in on a kill I was about to get and the projectile from my attack was literally flying at them. He Dagoned them and stole the kill.

These are the kind of people whose courier items I dump in the enemy base.

it's viable if the match lasts less than 35 minutes and the other team has no push potential.

He did. He afk farmed for literally 20 minutes. by that time, we were already 3 towers behind. It's as if he thought it a good plan to go late-game vs a PL. So DP and the other 3 pushed down our towers and while our window was closing, NP was farming.

Actually, he didn't think at all.

Nope. Dagon and Midas serve completely opposite purposes, but this guy went midas and then farmed with the sole purpose of building to blow up a single target late game. Blowing up a single target late game is not enough, as people will have buyback, and even the supports should take that whole combo to kill.

Also the E-blade nuke is not all that cost effective when the only int you have is from dagon and treads. If the idea of the build was single target nuking someone, more effective would probably be to skip a couple levels of dagon, get sheep instead of shadow blade, then get eblade.

Also the BKB I dunno about. I mean you generally need a BKB in lategame teamfights if you can afford one, but I think it's not a great item on prophet. Especially a burst nuke prophet. BKB is to let you stand and right click without being disabled, and with this build prophet would be doing fuck all for right click, so you might as well drop your nukes and eat a couple disables for your team.

i call it the skyla build

I almost threw a game today with FireWire and Dahbomb, I bought a rapier on Slark and then fed it to Gyro. Next 25 minutes were the longest 25 minutes of a dota game ever.

That match was something else. I wasn't even trying all that hard in the beginning (neither was the SB, he was just going YOLO all over the place) because your Slark was 13-0 and we had their rax. Suddenly we got hit with their big ulties (Warlock, Lick, Magnus, Gyro just pressed R)) and got our teams wiped out a few times.

After that happened I picked up the slack and played the lame NP. Won the game with some backdoors but a win is a win. When Gyro was making that final push mid and we lost the rax things looked real grim all of a sudden.
