The increase in supply is only going to make the price drop, if anything.
Find what you want from the chest and use the key to trade for it instead of gambling.

I was Hontrash who played through whole beta, but was sullied by LoL until I heard Dota 2 was announced and I quit LoL immediately.

I haven't bought anything from the Dota store before and I don't want to dump in $50 in my Steam Wallet if I don't even know how much the ticket is going to cost. If I can make it all the way to the checkout screen before it sells out and before having the money in my Steam Wallet, will it reserve my ticket?

Have your card saved on Steam, and there is an option to buy the exact amount of Steam Wallet funds you need at checkout. I did that with the axe and got one.

Wyvernguards are Mythical. Timebreakers are Immortal.
The whole point of Immortal rarity is that once you pass the window of their availability, they will never be available again, bar a fuckup like Valve accidentally enabling Immortal DC Hooks dropping for a couple of days.
The original way to get the Wyvernguard Edge was to buy a shirt from the Valve store and you would get an unlock code.
And the Battle Hunger-less Axe and Healing Ward-less Jugg. Also that game is to blame for any Lunas you see maxing Glaive first.
I was watching Merlini earlier and saw him do Bottle, Midas, Phase Boots, Shadow Blade, and Scythe on PUCK. Wat. I can't imagine Puck without a Blink Dagger. His skill build was standard though.
They damn right better be, I've got 75 keys worth of merch over 3 accounts right now. I've only done that because I don't get as many people friend requesting me for trades randomly.

Hon's version of axe was a lot more fun to play and was honestly better designed in general.

The ticket is for Seattle. The Compendium is basically a virtual program which has a bunch of bonus features like stat tracking on players, predictions, voting in polls and for the all star match, and more. If you buy a ticket, you get a Compendium free.
On that note, I'm hoping for a smartphone app of the Compendium. I have a hard time imagining people bringing in their laptops to the event just to use it. Also, they need to make the item builder on Dota2.com smartphone friendly, or make an app or something. It would be fun to make a new build when I have downtime.

I thought maxing the Glaive-equivalent was a thing in HoN? They could max Glaive and Aura, taking ult at 6 with no consequences of pushing the lane (toggleable glaive) and actually doing good damage with the ult.
I never got to play Legionaire, but on paper the idea sounded strange to me: an Axe with no Battle Hunger. I was never particularly good at HoN, even after playing it with Dota experiences in heroes I knew just for fun. The UI, courier controls, and everything were completely foreign to me and I couldn't use them quickly.
