To me, sniper without fast phase + Malestrom is like AM without fast treads + battlefury. Just makes farming take too fucking long without.

Oh, and while I was hammering on the Ancient their Bounty Hunter and Sniper were desperately trying to kill me, and they succeeded exactly when the Ancient fell, but I had Aegis and was attacking from the top side, so I respawned right in the middle of the screen as the victory music played.

No way it has sold out. It's the vehicle they're using to raise more money. Perhaps it "sells out" once they reach their max goal, but that won't happen for months if ever, IMO.

Yeah a bit frustrating, I need my hit of Dota, hopefully with nobody on my team muted this time. On that note have they done something to the report system? Last game a muted guy was changing his name to flame people but when I went to report him (or anyone, tested it on the other guys) the report page didn't come up, the option was there but if you click it nothing happened... haven't reported anyone in like 2 weeks either so it shouldn't have been from too many reports.

Edit: Looks like 567k viewers last year, and that number will probably be a little higher this year. So yeah, shouldn't be any problem getting that third goal.
The problem is that sniper needs a shadow blade to not be food against a competent team early. Its the whole problem with the hero. Drow can at least slow people and kite a bit, unless you get super lucky with headshot procs basically any hero in the game is going to be able to chase down sniper.
But yeah, for heroes that need lots of farm, shadowblade really slows things down. It's only really good on heroes that don't need good items to farm well. Heroes like Nature prophet, Luna, and Gyro mainly.

That's about what? Half the player base on any given day? About 4% of all the players in a given month? And further, I don't think any Dota2 item has sold more than 4 or 5 thousand (probably Na'Vi pennants), ever. For conversations sake, let's say 10k was the current tops for item sales.
We're talking about 10x those numbers for something 10x more expensive than those high-volume pennants. It could happen, but I for damn sure wouldn't put money on it.
Yep and that's why I avoid picking him entirely if the enemy team has decent ganking potential. He just sucks for way too much of the game if you have to rush Sblade.

Speaking or Mirana, miss a few arrows and teammates are calling for my head on a pike. Ended 22-5 and got an ultra kill. Tsk tsk, I sucked hard yo.

I play the best Timbersaw ever, get kills early, contribute in teamfights, get Shivas, Hex and Halberd next to Bloodstone, I think I have the highest GPM in my team
And then I have a CK on my team who goes, sange&Yasha, Crit, Mask of Madness AND DOESN'T BUY BKB until i tell him to do 50 minutes into the game.
We could have won this so easily.
A team that does not push, a carry who has no idea about itembuilds... And of course everyone in the enemy team does their job well.
Doesn't help that lategame, timber can't do shit.

Most heroes that aren't carries fall off super-late. At some point, carries have to be competent enough to carry if the rest of the team can't finish in under 40.

na i agree dv sniper players are all noobs. i still remember when i played dota 1 and sniper was picked faster than a hooker's cherry. only noobs will ever play sniper and drow, 7 years and some shit just doesn't change
probably kotl but we'll never know because 6.78 is coming in 2-3 weeks
Skywrath is way easier to contain. In the games I've seen he hasnt had much pressure applied to him and we still need to see people try him as a support. I'm not sure he is worth more than those heroes right now

Yea, that's why it's more of a hypothetical. I just know that Na'Vi ran him 3 times and Sky fucking bodied teams in 3 matches. By the 4th match, teams had had enough and started first-round banning him.
all this Drow-hating will stop, damn it.
Do we anticipate any Sky nerfs? I haven't seen many mids he can't completely disassemble if he's not ganked regularly, and his slow and movement speed allows him to escape a lot of potential ganks in a way that most heroes without a real escape can't. I think he's the most intimidating mid to have to face in the game presently next to QoP. and in a 1v1, he can kill you faster and more safely than QoP.
