GG guys, thanks for watching!! Hopefully it was entertaining enough for everyone.
Will keep you guys updated for the next game.
Man I hate 1 game advantages. If Alliance win this game the grand final best of 5 is over in 2 games. So anti-climatic.
Happened last Starladder too I think, or the one before that, with Navi vs Mouz I think. Mouz got stomped 2 games in a row and the GRAND FINAL was over. Though in that case they might have gotten stomped 3 times in a row but still.
ICCUP seems to do pretty well against Alliance, hope they can at least take 1 game off them.
I'll never understand why people think 1 game advantages are fair. As the winning team, your advantage is that you don't have to play in the loser's bracket. That's at least 2-3 games that you don't have to play (basically a bye). Giving the winning team an extra game lead on top of that is just overkill..

I haven't followed, has the GAF team lost any games in the GB tourney so far?
It's double elimination and they shouldn't be eliminated for the first loss.
Which is why it should be set up so that if the team that came out of the losers wins, the series resets because the winning team finally lost one and now they're on equal footing. The downside is that this can result in a lot of games, especially if we're talking a bo5 or something, but it's the only fair and reasonable way.
It's coming, it just hasn't been priority yet I guess.Valve...
Why can't LAN be implemented? It's ridiculous that it isn't there. Dota will never become esports king without it.

It would not be fair for the Winning team to be "eliminated" (read, get 2nd place) for losing a series, after all the losing team did lose once. So the only way would be to play a second series if the wining team loses. However with Dota being Dota, games can last over 1 hour. 10 games over 1 hour is too much.
I thought they did that for TI2.Valve has got to be conflicted about a lan mode for games they sell tickets for. I wonder if they can implement a lan option that allows games to still be watched on dotatv.

So how did HLTV work back in CS 1.6 tournaments? They were playing on lan, but the games were still broadcast via the client.I remembered it being not strictly a lan mode but instead a bank of dedicated servers that weren't running regular matchmaking in addition to the tournament matches.
I mean if you sell a ticket to a tournament but the tournament organizers decide to play all of the matches over lan then you wouldn't be able to watch the games live in the client.
Who do streams look so smooth compared to in game gameplay?
I run at 60fps constantly so maybe it's just perception.

WTF, admiralbulldog has the sheepstick cosmetic item for Prophet.
HOWW
And another LAN tourny win for Alliance. I know Starladder isn't as big as G1, but still, it keeps adding up.
