Slark is legit guys.
ROX is probably my favorite Russian team (Dread is a cool dude) but aL played pretty well with that Slark. Also, Lone Druid is kinda broken.

Valve isnt technically in charge of this, they handed it over to be run by the streamers or whatever..so they need to enforce them

I don't know why some of you guys put your rapier so low. I had it low in east but high in the west. It's not a completely unpopular pickup with gyro in the meta so much nowadays.

If you like competition and learning the deeper mechanics of a game it will suck you in before you notice it happened.
Hard to say. I moved over from Broodwar though and heavily enjoy Dota. Doesn't hurt to try out, just be aware that this game has a ridiculously high skill cap and the skill floor requires you to climb some ladders to feel a little stable on.

Well regretting it now, but yeah. Should have figured Western Dota would get desperate, especially with the stakes. But we'll see I suppose.

SC2 and Dota are quite different beasts. There is no macro involved, but the importance of your micro (in this case, most of the time, you control 1 unit, maximum is like 5 or 6) is magnified immensly. A small positioning error will often get you killed against good players. I went from Dota 1 to SC2 to Dota 2 (with some breaks in between and a little bit of LoL) and I love both games. SC2 has become too stressful to play for me, Dota 2 is less exhausting but still has a very high skill cap and tons and tons of strategies.
If you have any friends that already play Dota 2, play with them, let them explain the game to you. That's usually faster than reading a bunch of guides, but that's very helpful too of course. Play against bots first, don't try out too many heroes at first (focus on 2-3 heroes) and get a feel for the game.

I can either judge based on 1200 range, or I can accuratly pixel perfect display the range. I chose the latter. I really don't want to learn the range of every single spell.

So while admiring how creepy Bane is on the pick/bans screen I noticed that he has no eyes and basically the same "nose-hole" as Faceless Void.
but with the huge amount of spectators in-game it would.
Easily too.
